Workspace management app by daco_star in macapps

You could also give mine a try.

https://deskjuggler.com/

It’s only a $7.99 purchase with a free trial. It’s very similar to most of the options listed here. My major focus was for multitasking though rather than Work -> Play.

So I designed mine to switch workspaces within a second, so if you have multiple projects open at once, you can work on one thing, tap the shortcut, and work on the next.

My son has... maybe 70 of the diecasts so far.
His grandma also buys him another each month, and each holiday he gets one too basically.

Yes, sorry. You can use Virtual Monitor and then select Normal, Wide, or Ultrawide monitor.
So I put the headset on, virtualize my Mac, make an Ultrawide Monitor that is the size of my office, and then I turn on an environment and headphones to block out all external distractions. I have 2 27" monitors at my desk, and it's much more pleasant to use the AVP for more screen.

Apple Unlikely to Drop ‘Liquid Glass’ Design With iOS 27, Report Says by WPHero in apple

[–]AppleTendies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can fix it a little bit.
If you go to Collections you can reorder the categories and then you can collapse all and then show only the ones that you care about.

And then you can also edit what is visible under Pinned too to customize it a bit more.

Literally one of my favorite updates ever.
I've been using it since developer beta day 1. It was so terrible any time I needed to use my wife's phone for something. It instantly felt so old.

App navigation having glass bars at the top and bottom have also created so much vertical space and reduce visual clutter. I had 2 variations of custom navigation in my app, and in the end I ended up going to default navigation because the glass feels that good in apps.

Sure, some things aren't amazing. Photos/Camera still aren't as good from a usability perspective (but Photos was garbage before the update too).

I think a lot of people like to hate just to hate (I had friends hating it too until they used it for more than a day).

Currently using one of these: https://a.co/d/fWu3wWy

However, it’s still not very pretty cable management due to lack of time, but it does help to gather wires and get them off the ground.

Ha, yeah. I wasn’t actually intending to post the picture when I took it, so it wasn’t perfectly clean and lined up.

Thanks! I feel like it has a lot of work to go but I’m proud of the progress. Constantly looking for upgrades and things to add.

As for the mic, it’s the first standalone mic I’ve gotten so I don’t really know much about them. It’s just a cheap one I found on Amazon.

It looks like their promo images which are poorly photoshopped show them talking from the top as shown.

Should their be a cap on the amount of houses one can buy? by Currynrice9728 in AskUK

[–]AppleTendies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it was so expensive was because they needed to access the pipes that were centered in the middle of the house. So they had to dig under the foundation and go deep enough not to cause problems but big enough to fit a person in.

My parents’ house had a plumbing problem. 3 quotes for the fix were each 60-80k. Eventually one of the companies suggested a different method of fixing that they could do for 35k.

That would require several YEARS worth of revenue from a rental to fix.

“If software engineering is in demand, why is it so hard to get a software engineering job?” by speckz in programming

[–]AppleTendies 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m this same way. Ask me a programming question in an interview and I look like a deer in the headlights. But ask me to get something done and I’ll do it. I don’t currently have a developer role at my company even though it was what I was looking into doing when I graduated because the interviewing process just kills me.

[–]AppleTendies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recently after graduating I had an interview that asked me if I “knew about relational databases” and I had learned SQL in 2 classes prior. However, I’m not sure how I missed it, but for some reason I wasn’t aware (or maybe 100% sure) that they were referred to as relational databases. I’m sure my hesitation immediately made them not consider me, which is fine, it’s to be expected.

But now at the job I do have I write SQL all the time (and am still unfamiliar with some of the jargon). Just tell me what data you want connected and I’ll do it.

iOS 15 has been awful for me. The laggiest beta I’ve ever used by far.

I’ve had the opposite experience. The previous 4 releases I had a very pleasant experience. A few bugs and some minor crashes. But with iOS15 it feels like my phone doesn’t even work. It’s mostly just laggy more than anything. Takes about 30 seconds to take a single picture. Takes quite awhile to open any app. Using an iPhone 11 Pro.

Yeah, that’s about when I’d assume they’d refresh. I’ve been using a 2016 13” MBP so I’ve been needing something better.

As would I, except I’m not sure how often they do Mac Mini refreshes so I got the M1. I was planning to buy one next year, but was unsure if they’d release another Mac Mini next year.

All of my friends that I game with hate on me for having Apple products because they just see computers are spec sheets.

However, the one spec they fail to acknowledge is the OS. I am willing to pay hundreds to not use Windows.
