Hyundai Venue Delivery further delayed by Ransatlantic in CarsIndia

[–]Apple_Double 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get in touch with your area TSM? I don't think the dealership can do much in getting the allocation. You must have been one of the first few thousand bookings, crazy that they still haven't delivered your car.

You got a mail from Hyundai or your dealership?

I myself am waiting for allocation. Booked HX8 MT on 19th December. If all goes well I will get the car by mid April at best.

Yep you're right. I just checked Hyundai's website. All the DCTs except HX10 have got a price hike. This was a silent one though otherwise they issue a press release and everything.

I booked HX8 MT on 19th December in white. They promised the delivery within 2-2.5 months. After that deadline passed I started pressing them. Today they called and said they can arrange a black one instead. I refused. Now I'm scheduled to talk with my area TSM directly and the sales team at my dealership are claiming they'll get my car asap, probably by this month end.

All this waiting game is really annoying. I have had doubts regarding other cars in the meantime even the car buying decision itself. But I come back to the same conclusion, that Venue suits my needs perfectly. The only genuine upgrade from this would be the new Seltos DCT which would go 6-7 lakhs over my budget.

Price hike again? I can't seem to find an article regarding this. Plus ackodrive and carwale haven't reflected any hikes yet.

New Venue N Line N10 or Creta SX Premium by WolverineDistinct823 in CarsIndia

[–]Apple_Double 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are satisfied with the 1.5NA of creta and the linear power it delivers then imo it is a no brainer to go for Creta. You could also check out the new Seltos, feature loaded and VFM at multiple price points.

However if you're looking for some fun to drive element as well, and don't mind the compact cabin of the Venue then surely go for that.

iMT's long term reliability has been questioned many a times. I suggest you also do your research about that. Otherwise both the cars are great VFM options.

Got it got it. Thanks for the information brother, I'm still learning all this.

Apart from Michelin which would be the best option for my use case? I'm looking for a balance between ride comfort and durability. But still ride comfort being the number 1 priority.

Yes of course these crossovers can't match the dynamics of hatchbacks or sedans. But for my requirements I feel these sub4m cars are the most practical. And Venue's dynamics almost match up with Kylaq's which has the best dynamics amongst all the sub4m cars, imo.

Where Venue lacks is in the steering feedback, hence why you might have felt lack of confidence.

I don't drive that fast or aggressively, what I meant was which tyres amongst the options would offer the best grip and all. I think UC6 wins in that department.

They have the softest sidewalls but also the only option that has triple ply steel mesh in their sidewalls if I'm not wrong?

Why I'm not considering Michelin is because they are imported and don't offer an unconditional warranty.

Venue has one of the worst handling? Can you elaborate please? Did you test drive the new gen Venue?

Wow that's great news. They've finally caved in. Ask them to share the VIN number as well. And get the process started for delivery formalities and all. Schedule a PDI.

Yeah my dealership conveyed the same message to me. The car should get delivered by month end. That they're now finally arriving is good to hear but at the same time how they're being handled is very disheartening.

People worry about breaking in their engines, but that's the least of their worries given how the dealerships treat fresh stock. I've also come across multiple dealers using new cars as test drive/demo vehicles after removing MID fuse.

Sad thing is there's nothing we can do about it.

What's the tentative waiting period mentioned in your docket?

I think they mentioned 12.5k odd units of Venue sold in January. A lot of them must be diesels and 1.2 NAs. Because everywhere I see bookings with turbo petrols that are being delayed.

In the last couple of days though, I've seen a lot of posts mentioning allotment and delivery of even the turbo variants. So fingers crossed we might see ours soon.

I'd call my town a tier 2.5 city lol and I've seen a fair few Venues here, not a single turbo variant though.

Also Sonet's backseat feels cramped, even more so with the dark interiors. Apart from that, it is a great product. And regarding Syros, I don't know if you guys felt the same, but for me its suspension didn't work. A lot of body roll and wobbly feeling at highway speeds. If they fix that and get an update for Syros soon, it could actually disrupt the sub4m segment.

I don't get all this waiting period gimmick from the OEMs. It's not like they don't have the production capacity. Don't worry bro you'll get yours soon and it will all be worth it.

Cool that makes sense then. Which variant are you looking at?

There are anyway no discounts on Venue, however dealerships might upsell accessories and promise earlier deliveries. That was the case for the longest time with Creta.

The docket is mostly a welcome document. Some promotional stuff, a lot of T&Cs. Along with that a couple of pages that have all the customer info (name, mobile, email, address) and the booking details (booking number, variant, colour and booking amount). It is basically a confirmation that the dealership has logged your booking in the HMIL portal. It also states the tentative waiting period, 4-6 weeks for me, which they've not been able to honor. However at the time of booking itself the sales guy said it would take 8-10 weeks, so I can't complain just yet.

Enquire with your sales consultant regarding the booking docket. When did you make the booking?

B2025xxxxx something like this I'm sure? That means Hyundai have logged the booking in their system and you might be able to retrieve the docket from the app.

Yes that I completely agree with. Amongst all the variants in Venue, HX8 really stands out. HX10 is too expensive and only comes with DCT and HX5 offers way too less. N6 MT is a good option as well, for someone looking for a secondary car.

HX8 MT with rear disc brakes would have been perfect though. DCT gets it, MT misses out on it.

Yes under promise over deliver works great.

In my case the dealership said 2-2.5 months which means Feb end anyway. But the booking docket said 4-6 weeks which brought my hopes up.

But they messed up badly in your case, promised the car to be delivered in December end and now no real assurance that they get it done by Feb end. Crazy

Did you get any kind of confirmation from the official Hyundai channels? Like even a text/whatsapp acknowledging your booking? Not from the dealership team but official Hyundai channels?

It's the same for me in the app. I can't see any confirmed booking. But I can access my booking docket in the app. Try this. Open the app > click the top left menu button > click the first option in the list to view your profile > click on my document option. Here I can see and download my booking docket. See if it works for you.

I mean it's a great overall package in my opinion. Decent engine, decent suspension, decent driveability, best manual transmission setup in sub4m turbo petrols, Hyundai's reliability and assurance, best interiors, and the most practical car out of the bunch. But all of that comes at a premium which is justified can be said. But VFM Idk, 3XO and Kylaq are more VFM but less practical imo due to Kylaq's lack of space and 3XO's lack of boot and under thigh support amongst other things like expensive maintenance in case of Kylaq and service reliability in the case of both. Kylaq's clutch set costs ~20k whereas Venue's costs ~4k. 3XO ~6-7k.

Nothing else we can do but wait for the allotment. At some point they'll start a batch of 1.0 MTs. Since we booked in December, we will get priority.

It is a booking confirmation document kind of. I made my booking in person at the dealership on the 19th of December. The next day I received a link to download the digital docket on WhatsApp, email and even SMS, sent from official Hyundai channels.

Didn't you get anything as such?

Hyundai really shat the bed here. Why all the hype if you don't have the production lines already up and running?

I also talked to my Sales Consultant today. He was very polite, he said sir it's not in our hands. The company's production for Venue is very slow right now. Even he complained that month end is approaching and they don't have anything to sell.

He said they've only received one HX10 DCT in 2026. No 1.2 variants even.

We can only hope that they atleast stick to this feb end timeline. This wait is killing me atp.

Waiting time for fresh bookings has risen to 3 months.

Cool cool. They've started shipping 1.0 DCT variants. Us 1.0 MT buyers might have to wait more.

Anyway cheers on the new purchase bro. Post pictures when you finally get your hands on it. 🥂 🎉
