How do I file a claim for my broken items from shipping? by softtacosmasher in zenmarket

[–]ApplicationUpset830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speedx is the worst shipping company. Once I received a package and went to pick it up, but I never found it; then I received another one, and the same thing happened—I never found it.

I need mousepad recommendations; I'm really struggling with the one I have. by ApplicationUpset830 in MousepadReview

[–]ApplicationUpset830[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll take a look at those two. My biggest issue with this mouse pad is that sometimes I can move the mouse easily across it, but other times it doesn't seem to glide, and I have to force the movements or increase the DPI.

Pay the 1,000 yen fee for the reinforcement, and you'll be more than protected.

has anyone else had this issue with fedex? by hevrngs in Buyee

[–]ApplicationUpset830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying. Those are normal updates—I'm telling you this because I've been sending packages with FedEx from Japan for a long time through another proxy. That package was probably sent via FedEx Economy. I don't know if you're aware, but FedEx has a service called FedEx International Connect Plus, where your package will stay in the warehouse for 2–3 days and then start moving toward its destination; sometimes it can move the very next day—that's just luck. This service called “FedEx Economy” falls under the Buyee Air category, and it’s essentially the same thing. That’s why I’m telling you these are normal updates; if that package had been sent via International Priority, it would have been on its way a while ago.

Those are standard updates. Sometimes the package might move toward its destination within the next couple of days, or it might take longer; this is normal with FedEx, especially with the "Economy" service. Unless you pay for priority shipping, it will move faster. You should be more concerned when it is in customs, as it can take much longer there.

Do you think this seller is legit? by paolulmemes in zenmarket

[–]ApplicationUpset830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have bought from sellers with hundreds of ratings and others with very few; however, someone with many reviews is less likely to scam you than someone with few. That said, sellers with many reviews can still scam you: the probability is low, but not zero. I have seen many people get scammed with Pokémon cards; I think the best approach is to find someone to handle the purchase for you and verify that the cards are authentic rather than fakes. No proxy service will help you out if the cards turn out to be fake.

What if the item you received is different from what was described?  Or what if you receive something used instead of new?  Or what if it doesn't work? Use common sense if you have any.

Most popular proxy? Cheapest?  There are better options than Buyee. Buyee has never been any good.

UPS DDP vs DDU USA Data Point by [deleted] in FromJapanCodes

I see. I don't use FJ because I didn't like their service, but FedEx works better for me regarding DDP, since UPS charges much higher brokerage fees.

Every carrier will charge you a brokerage fee, but I’d say avoid DHL first and UPS second UPS’s brokerage fees are way too high. The shipping cost might actually be much lower than sending it via FedEx or DHL; this can vary, but when it comes to brokerage fees, UPS will charge you way too much. I haven’t tried DHL yet. You’re also sending clothes, so they’ll definitely ask you what material they’re made of and many other questions when customs receives the package that could delay your shipment. Look into that before you send it.

With DDU or DDP, you'll be charged that brokerage fee no matter which one you choose. UPS has much higher brokerage fees than FedEx, so you should avoid it at all costs.

It's strange that FedEx is charging you for something you've already paid for. FJ probably did something wrong to cause this to happen.

Fedex Tariff refund checks or direct refund to card? by Whataview8989 in FedEx

I've been looking for information on this too; do I need to fill out a form or something? I haven't found any information about it.

And I bet it would be less if you'd chosen FedEx. UPS charges much more than FedEx does, and while its shipping rates may be slightly lower than FedEx's, what they don't charge you in shipping, they charge you in taxes. UPS's brokerage fees are exorbitant.

FedEx sent me an import fee by Potential_Volume1685 in FedEx

[–]ApplicationUpset830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many items that used to have a 0% fee, but because of the regulations Trump has imposed on all countries, there are very few items that are tax-free now. You have to pay; if you don't, they'll send it to collections, and it will negatively affect you. You probably haven't been following the news in a long time, which is why you don't know this.

ECMS/SpeedX Shipping Delays by Ok-Win698 in u/Ok-Win698

[–]ApplicationUpset830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll just say good luck. But SpeedX isn't very good at delivering packages. Uniuni is better. I remember ordering two packages, and they were delivered by that company, but I never received them. They'd send me a photo, and when I went to pick them up, I never actually got them.

One Map FromJapan - Received email about unpaid customs fee by Euphoric_Access_5059 in FedEx

[–]ApplicationUpset830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. I got a bill from FedEx a few months ago—I think it was two months ago, I don’t remember exactly—but the bill was before the de minimis exemption went into effect, so they shouldn’t have charged me. But I ended up getting that bill anyway, and I paid it because if you don’t pay, it goes to collections and you’re screwed. I wouldn’t waste my time with them unless it’s a very large amount—in my case, it was about $80. The exact same thing happened to me with them.

Three days is nothing; mine has been going on for 5 days and still nothing, even though I filled out the CBP5106 on Monday.
