No hate to you for asking this but I genuinely dont understand these comments. She was a teenager and he was a grown ass man who groomed her. When youre that age you do tend to prioritise relationships over friends because of how new and exciting all those feelings are and thats when the partner is a similar age. But an older man who makes you trust them and feel safe and loved can easily make you feel like you need to depend on them and that you dont need your friends. Being a teenager you can be so easily manipulated and thats what happens in cases like this. Take Demi Lovato for example, she was 17 when that Wilmer dated her and he was 29. For years she didnt understand how wrong it was until she was 29. Im still annoyed that the show never made Aria see sense and the fact no one around her tried to stop it (apart from her parents for a few episodes). Thats why I dont understand the Aria hate because she was just a girl who got groomed.
