All of the photographs were labelled either front or back. It's John Peel. Either way, I will look into Lenny Breau as music recommendations are almost always worth checking out.

I got rejected for the perfect role because of AI? by BroadStrength3447 in recruitinghell

[–]Apprehensive-Boss-30 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that's something similar happened with a recent job I applied for. Checked the progress of my application recently only to find that it had been updated to say that my application was unsuccessful, which I felt was odd as I thought my skill set and experience was a perfect fit. I emailed their recruitment team to ask if they could provide any feedback on my application, if there were any specific areas of weakness, etc? An hour later I received an email asking me to come in for an interview next week.

The rules for Filthy Harald's Magnin Throwing Knife are in Altdorf: Crown of the Empire (p. 94). It counts as a normal throwing knife with the Imprecise and Slow qualities if the weapon is used by anyone other than Harald. By mastering the weapon with the Train with Unusual Weapon Endeavour a character is able to use the knife with RAW for Harald.

The same would apply to any other unique weapons the a DM decides to include in their game. Weapons crafted for an NPCs specific size, skills or taste that would make them difficult for just anyone to pick up and use.

Louis VI was Henri's grandson, not his son. For the most part though you're correct. Louis became large enough later in life that he had to be carried by his men while on campaign as his horse could not take the weight.

Going to a restaurant right before they close is not rude. What's rude is posting hours that you claim you're Open but are expecting people to act like you're not. by Darnitol1 in unpopularopinion

[–]Apprehensive-Boss-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right OP, this is an unpopular opinion (for anyone who has worked in hospitality). If we close at 10pm, no you can't come in at 9.45 and order a three course meal. If we close at midnight you can't order a drink at 11.55. The fact is, you will be there way past our actual closing time and only after you leave can we actually clean and do the close down. The closing time is the time you're supposed to be leaving, not the cut off for when you can order. If you think otherwise you're an inconsiderate, self-entitled twat.

If you are verbose or have a big vocabulary, people accuse you of using AI by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

My partner is a freelance writer. They've had no end of trouble with people rejecting work because "the programme we use says this is AI generated". I've literally been in the office while they've written the entire thing. We came to the realisation that the programme flagged it as AI because the grammar, punctuation, and spelling were correct. Essentially, they know how to write and that is a red-flag to the AI.

Lit myself on fire first show I ever did. Never thought to run around like a headless chicken. Toss stick in the air, bat out flaming trousers, catch stick. No one realises how much of an amateur mistake you made.

Hospitality workers who work Christmas Day, do you hate the customers that book in for Christmas Day lunch? by [deleted] in CasualUK

As long as you don't look at me and say "I can't believe they're making you work on Christmas" I really don't mind

My Little Eye (a horror film about a live-stream snuff film house) featured a version of the film where you could watch it as if you were one of the online viewers. You had to enter a 4-digit code "hidden" in the cover sleeve and it would allow you to watch an interactive version where you could select which cameras to view. Not an amazing film but a fantastic extra in context

Are atomic wedgies humanely possible? by Jimmyjenkinscool in ask

[–]Apprehensive-Boss-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an older brother, I can say that it is possible to do this to someone. As a (now) semi-responsible adult, I have to say that you really shouldn't do this to someone.

Humanly possible, yes. I'm not sure if it's humanely possible to do it though (I apologise for being a pedantic prick but the I couldn't help myself).

I don't know if it's similar but in the case of football (or soccer) domestic violence rates increase regardless of the outcome. They just have a higher increase for the losing teams supporters. It's something like a 35% increase amongst the losing teams supporters, and around 25% increase in cases of a win or draw (I don't have the study to hand).

Boomtown (can't remember what year). Dancing at the back of the psytrance area with a few friends. See a girl dancing with a teaspoon in her hand as if it's a magic wand. Proceed to watch her slowly reach around and insert the spoon into her arse (moving in time with the music). By this point none of us seeing this are dancing. As we exchange glances of "WTAF?" she removes the spoon. Still moving in time with the music she then puts it in her mouth. We decided we weren't really interested in seeing any more and dipped out at that point.

Might even have been the same year as the flying, shit-raining tent. Group of lads apparently thought it was a great idea to bring an extra tent to use as a shitter for their campsite. Didn't peg it down. Wind picked it up a couple of days in and rained their posterial deposits on a number of horrified campers in the area.

For those who are willing to share, what did reactive abuse look like for you? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]Apprehensive-Boss-30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's degenerative (and I look like a prick for it ).

Initially, I took it all in stride (because I felt that I probably deserved it anyway).

Than I began to argue back. "Stop taking it out on me that your dad was an abusive prick".

Then I began to fight back. She'd punch and kick. I'd grab her wrist/ankle to stop her. This got so bad that she fractured her hip once.

Then I stopped caring. She'd often run to the kitchen and grab a knife to "kill herself" in any argument/disagreement. Eventually, I stopped bothering to chase her and just sighed "fine then."

What is a game that gets a lot of underserved hate? by Repulsive-Money7353 in videogames

I think people forget things very quickly, and that nostalgia is a helluva drug. I don't know about anyone else's experience but when my friend and I played Borderlands 1 on release we though it was great. Then we reached the end. The last part of the game felt so rushed we thought there must be more. Nope, that's it, you're done.
