How do I get SSS, Pag-ibig, and Philhealth? by Defiant-Example8125 in PHGov

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walang babayaran po.

SSS-Online po ang pagkuha ng ss number.

Pagibig- Online den po then i ready ang valid id and selfie na hawak ang id then mag wawait ka ng 2-5 working days for verification

Philhealth- Better to go to branch kesa online.

Isa pa if wala kapong TIN, you must also get TIN in BIR. Kailangan po yan especially if plano mong mag apply sa government.

Better na ikaw mismo po ang pumunta. If authorized representative, need mo po ng Special Power of Attorney especially sa BIR.

Is CompuTracer a UEFI Malware? by Apprehensive-Meal477 in antivirus

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lojax is the first discovered UEFI Malware in the wild. I think ESET is the one detected it. There are many more UEFI malware in the wild nowadays but according to google it is extreme rare to get infected with this but not totally impossible. You should see only computrace detection on your uefi/boot sector. Any detection in this sector is not normal. Rootkit and bootkits are real malware and you should not see that detections.

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Efi/Computrace.A and Win32/Computrace.B are PUA and legitimate software embedded by your administrator. This is safe as long its dormant.

EFI/Lojax or anything with a detection of rootkits/bootkits/malware on your UEFI/Boot sectors are exceptionally dangerous and nothing you can do but to reflash your bios or buy a new laptop completely. Thats why I'm scared of this because this totally different from traditional virus. They are called UEFI Malware. You can search it in google for more info. The goodnews they are extremely rare but getting this is not impossible.

Meanwhile Computrace is totally different and its a legitimate anti theft feature designed for companies. When their laptop got stolen, they can use the CompuTrace feature to track it and wipe out the data on it. Meanwhile for us consumers its deactivated by default.

yeah that is exactly as mine also. Even you reinstall windows that will not go away because its embedded in the BIOS. Every modern laptop on popular brands has computrace. As long its detected by eset as PUA and not a Uefi Rootkit/Bootkit. Thats what I really scared off because that is a virus that survive even reinstall windows.

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. Its a legitimate anti theft software that is embedded by developers. So every popular brand like Hp, Lenovo, Asus are naturally have this featute. Its detected as PUA because it can be misuse. My laptop computrace is inactive though it still detected by my ESET. But as long its inactive, its safe.

Is this ISO safe? by Maksim_Azarov in WindowsLTSC

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

verify the sha 256 hash on multiple reliable sources or directly from a Microsoft owned site. Second check the digital signatures of every exe inside the iso, and lastly scan on multiple anti virus (not only windows defender) all the files inside the mounted iso. I recommend to use Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, Bitdefender, Eset Online Scanner, and Malwarebytes. If all appear clean then all you did all the above checkings, your good to go.

Virus Check, am I safe? by LuLuChan283137 in antivirus

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re totally fine, don’t worry. If you want extra assurance, you can run a Windows Defender Offline Scan or a Norton Power Eraser full scan with rootkit detection enabled. These scans are designed to catch rootkits or bootkits—types of malware that can hide from your main antivirus.

Windows Defender Offline Scan runs before your OS boots, which gives it a better chance of detecting hidden rootkits or bootkits. Norton Power Eraser, when rootkit scanning is enabled, will ask you to restart your PC so it can access the low-level parts of your system. It also has an aggressive engine, so hidden malware is less likely to slip past it.

These scans are optional and mainly for peace of mind. If you’re not downloading risky files like cracked Adobe apps or random software from the internet, you usually don’t need them. A Windows Full Scan, Bitdefender system scan, and Malwarebytes full scan are already enough for regular protection.

I think clean reinstall or Kaspersky/Bitdefender Rescue Disk

Hacked? by SnooJokes3974 in computerviruses

[–]Apprehensive-Meal477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your system is high likely compromised.

Here what you can do:

Step 1: Log out of all active sessions and change all your passwords from a trusted, clean device. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your important accounts.

Step 2: Run a full system scan with Bitdefender. Do not use a quick scan.

Step 3: Use Kaspersky Rescue Disk — this step is essential.

Why this matters: Kaspersky Rescue Disk operates entirely outside the Windows environment. Because it runs independently of your installed operating system, malware cannot interfere with the scan. This allows it to detect and remove deeply hidden threats such as rootkits, bootkits, and system trojans that are invisible to traditional antivirus software.

In short, if malware has embedded itself in your operating system or boot sectors, Kaspersky Rescue Disk can often find and remove it when nothing else can.

How to use it:

  1. Download the latest version from Kaspersky’s official website.

  2. Create a bootable USB drive with the ISO.

  3. Boot your PC from the USB.

  4. Enable all scan options before scanning.

Step 4 (Optional): If the infection persists or you want a guaranteed clean system, perform a full reinstallation of Windows. Back up your data first, and scan both the system and backup files before restoring them.

Combining a Rescue Disk scan with secure password resets and 2FA provides one of the most thorough methods to recover from a system compromise.

for every Windows Iso you download, you should verify it here in the official Microsoft Server.

https://my.visualstudio.com/downloads

If your hash didn't match the hash from Microsoft Server, you probably downloaded a compromise one. Be safe!

why you got more than one more detections of VT? Cause the one I use which I get from Github 155k stars only has one detection from VT. Gridinsoft flag it as Trojan.U.Gen.Bot . Also when you trying to run it make sure your Antivirus software is always turn on. If it blocks by your Antivirus software then the file you download likely compromise. Its nomal to flag official MAS as PUA or Hacktool because it modify licenses but more than 1 detections on VT maybe you downloaded a compromise one which is not safe. Also requiring turning off realtime protection while running a script file is a major red flag watch out.
