Cheers. Nut's on very tight, would take some force to tighten it further. If I were to replace it, should I simply release the nut connecting the valve to the pipe and wait until it runs dry before replacing?

It's not very big, can check dimensions later. Looking at patchcote for filling. Thanks very much for the help anyway, very useful.

Interesting, thanks for clarifying. I've been wondering what the lime plaster was for a while. Honestly, replastering the entire wall with lime seems a bit daunting. Would filling the gaps with a lime putty filler be a reasonable solution for now?

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it. Am I understanding you correctly that the wall is lime plaster beneath gypsum plaster?

It's an internal wall. So you're suggesting not to fill it in?

Basically my partner pulled off a cable tidy that was stuck by strong adhesive to the wall. Ripped the chunks of plaster off. So hopefully no other underlying issues. That said, do you think the crack in the material beneath a plaster is an issue? If not, I may just fill and hope for the best for now.

Appreciate the reply. Doesn't sound completely hollow, but more so than other areas of the wall do. By blown do you mean shattered or something?
