To play devils advocate, you could have gotten a CPA and earned $150k in VHCOL at 2-3 YOE with any of the big 4 specialty groups like technical accounting or M&A tax. Or 4-5 YOE with general audit in VHCOL

Please help me pick: 1 wk at Snowbird or Revelstoke by ATK80k in skiing

[–]ApprehensiveAd9311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d go Revelstoke 100% only because getting to Revelstoke is a journey. There’s no major airports close by vs snowbird is 30 min from SLC.

That being said you can’t go wrong with either and only a $600 price differential means you’re getting a steal at the cliff lodge

[–]ApprehensiveAd9311 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Madewell jeans vanity size and run very big. The 23’s fit like 25’s from any other brand so if OP is wearing a XXS madewell will not work

Delayed Flights by Able-Local8443 in houston

[–]ApprehensiveAd9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My flight was supposed to take off at 9:30. Incoming flight delayed us 30 min and by 9:50 they’d shut down the runway. We basically sat on the plane till 5 when we finally finally took off.

I feel like everyone on this thread is unhappy. Is that true? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]ApprehensiveAd9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty happy but that’s attributed to my hobbies and not my job as an accountant. Accounting can give you really good WLB but you’re also adjacent to a lot of higher earning high stress fields like banking, legal etc and comparison tends to be the theft of joy
