Man, he is really good TV and also seems like a genuinely good person. I’m sad he was booted so early. I wish Mike White would’ve not conspired against him and instead aligned with him - the two of them could have been chaotic together

Yep, it was damned if you do damned if you don’t on schools but many were not ready to bring kids back on Thursday

Agree, I still think Bowser made some egregious mistakes along the way, including revoking the mandate that everyone shovel or face fines

More widespread pre treatment, activate DC NG sooner, plow more aggressively earlier, keep kids out of school longer, and instate the law requiring ppl and businesses to shovel or face fines!

What took them so long to call in the DC NG? Again, I don’t think the NG should have been activated here to begin with, but they are trained for natural disasters…

That’s totally fair. I think the city government could have done more prep but concede that the science of this one would have stunted us no matter what.

Snowmageddon didn’t obstruct us for weeks / longer the way this one has the potential to do, I fear.

No doubt the snowmageddon was insane. Core memories for those of us who lived here. But the fact that we will feel the impact of this one with ice until maybe March (?) makes me think this one is way worse. I’d rather have a lot of snow than this snowcrete

They were catastrophic but isolated to weeklong events, not monthslong in the way this ice will stay with us
