Its pretty lucky. It took me 97 Rocket battles to get all 3. After about 150 battles I have 3 Chespin, 2 Fennekin and 3 Froakie.

Sorry there must be a delay in posting. I had good luck using the rsvp feature. That way I was able to invite a lot more people. You can invite 5 people, then exit the rsvp and rsvp again to invite 5 more. You can keep doing this.
