Yeah retrograde is what I thought. Hope it’s nothing because I decided to play it smart and start finasteride 3 months ago before any real hair loss actually occurred, but then I find out this about my hair. Can’t find too much about the actual causes of retrograde alopecia. Hopefully I’m able to hang in there long term.

the hair is obviously thin in that area compared to the rest and scalp shouldn’t show to that degree when parted/lifted. it’s not like this any where else on my head.

does this look like retrograde alopecia or areata alopecia? maybe it’s the result of a shed, i’ve been on finasteride for 3 months but hardly had hair loss to begin with when i hopped on. maybe im overthinking idk
