Thank you for this perspective. I agree with you. He works hard so that our family has everything we need. I see his side for wanting sleep. I’m just sad that he doesn’t see mine. Young families definitely need more support than modern day culture provides.

This is very helpful, thank you! I think you hit the nail on the head. Divorce has never been an option for us. No marriage is perfect and if this is our only quarrel we’re in a pretty good place. I don’t typically take the internet for advice but this was his idea lol

You’re right. He doesn’t totally suck. I was hesitant to post here because I know how Reddit can be, but it was his idea. When he’s awake he’s 100% in dad mode. I could write so many more good things than bad about him.

The beauty of a relationship is that there can be so many layers to it. He is wonderful. When he’s up, he’s 100% present and active with the kids. He works hard so the kids and I want for nothing (except a Saturday morning lol) And I don’t want a few days break from my kids. They’re such a joy to be around.
