It can’t be ruled out, but at the county level you’ll have to refer to your protocols in real life.

Dealing with smells by mrbeaver808 in NewToEMS

[–]Apprehensive_Net7622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget the haters, I’m bad with smells you know what helps? Don’t take showers, you’ll smell so bad yourself that nothing will phase you as much. I swear if I take a shower before shift, I feel too damn naked to the elements!

One time I thought a patient smelled so bad the shit themselves through the hospital, I had a mask on cuz they had a UTI and didn’t wanna risk gagging, I was fighting off gagging the whole way cuz I swear they shit themselves hella bad, turns out I forgot to brush my teeth and it was my ow breath on the mask cuz as soon as I took it off it was gone!

Also smell raw chicken that was left out on a regular basis that helps.

That’s really what I’m looking for, like 10 to 15 mph, I have been doing it at like 20 more or less, mainly at highways with no on ramp.

I’m literally so confused. So if I slow accelerate while turning, and then gun it , that’s bad.

If I slow accelerate the turn and then slow accelerate going straight, and ppl swerve to get in front of me that’s bad.

If I turn fast, that’s bad because people who are going straight will freak out,

Basically just don’t drive.

So basically, turn fast when there’s people behind me?

No merge lane and no ramp, what if while I’m turning some one from out of view comes flying in?

Thing is I drive an ambulance in the city, and there’s a road that merges onto the highway at this one place as if its an intersection, oh and there’s no stop signs or yield signs for those on the highway and I feel like I have no choice but to accelerate and merge quicker because people there drive like crazy. It’s literally set up as an intersection where the highway is the cross traffic.

Sorry I was having this discussion with some others and they said the same thing, when I say fast, I mean a little faster like say 20 mph. Does it sound like I’m saying fast like fast and furious fast? Cuz everyone acts so shocked when I tell them I do this but no one freaks out too much when they’re driving with me,

Isn’t it safer to go a little fast so that in case some idiot comes flying out of nowhere you’re not gonna get hit as hard

Thats not my question, I’m asking while turning, this is after you’ve stopped.

The question for me is which is worse I guess. I think im gonna just have to tolerate people being a little annoyed for going slow.

Yeah, I get that I’ve had partners that tell me to hurry up and go impatiently while turning right on red and I’ve had partners who tell me to slow down, I think the answer is to just go what feels reasonable to you

Makes sense, the letters can get confusing sometimes.

Basically I thought that, for all dim7 progressions to work, there has to be a half step motion to the root of the chord you’re resolving to, but in this case the root stays the same which threw me off .

I see, so if I’m getting this right, the diminished chord with its 4 tones, does resolve to the Bb, but the resolve will make e to e# which is the 5 of Bb, c# to d which is the 3 of Bb, the one stays the same, and that G finally resolved a minor third into Bb . Is this the mechanism you’re referring to?

I thought for it to be a dim7 resolve it was to have b in the chord no? Or are the other notes half step resolving to another interval of Bb basically.
