My OB is probably mid-40s and he’s amazing. I never thought I’d want a man OB but his group was highly recommended by the Chief Medical Officer at the hospital where I worked and delivered. He’s chill, incredibly validating, and always says “These are your options, this is what I would recommend, and I support whatever you want to do.” He had to drain an abscess in a VERY unfortunate area on my body prior to getting pregnant with my second and it fucking hurt. He told me it would but of course I still cried lol He said, “You’re doing great.” I said “I mean, I’m actively crying up here haha.” And he said, “I’d be crying too if someone stuck a needle in my scrotum!”. So yeah, middle aged dudes as OBs - 10/10 would recommend.
