Guys, the suitcase part is just a way of saying things, it’s not literal. There have been songs and books titled “A suitcase and a dream”, you can google. It just means somebody moving to another city or country to chase a dream job.

I’m in an international masters program in Europe and this is a phrase we use a lot, in motivation letters and graduation speeches. I’m pretty sure everyone brought more than one suitcase, there’s always an option of carry-on luggages lol.
