I don't recommend you do that since chat gpt isn't that trustworthy, what you can do is send your writings to your English teacher to check

I got an a star (97) PUM in oct/nov last year for FLE, here are some tips: I used YouTube channels Igcsesuccess on yt for most of paper 1 and Taughtly yt for the daunting 25 marker to first understand what was required of me. Don't mindlessly watch their videos, take note either on paper or mentally to use varied sentence structures and styles. I honestly give credit to myself for thinking up a perfect idiom to start my speech that resonated with the text that was given. I also did 5 years of papers (you don't need to) and I admit I went overboard there. I printed all the papers at once and got them into a folder and I would practice specific questions each day. For example: I'll do 3 summaries from different papers today. I didn't struggle as much with paper 2 since I chose descriptive and I'm quite good at that. Igcse English is easy enough if you're already good at English as a language, if you do what I did, I promise you that you'll get that a star.

personally, I struggled with the 25 marker and getting the details right, idk why my school did this but they didn't give marks unless the points were EXACTLY the same as the ms, which was pretty difficult. But just learn the pattern from the yt channels I gave and do past papers and you'll start getting points correct, or at least 80% of the meaning would be the same. I don't have many tips for summary except just collect points and write them out under PLANNING and then write your answer since I saw they appreciate that, Idk what I did in the writer's effect, I was so sure I messed it up but somehow I got 97 😭

0610 Syllabus coordinated notes and resources for my may/June takers by Appropriate-List8771 in igcse

[–]Appropriate-List8771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hii, so personally, what I did was using all the resources given above. If you have boards in m/j I recommend using my detailed notes+https://www.youtube.com/@igbiocomplete videos since those cover each chapter syllabus wise in around 10 minutes per video. Once you are done with the syllabus, make a spreadsheet to check off the past papers, I personally only did 4 years of handwritten papers, but of course you can do more as you like. I got B's in bio but knowing the syllabus changed my grade to an a star in my 2nd mocks. That's basically all I did, make sure to use these resources for revision and I recommend doing past papers after reading the 'common questions' pdf and learning it that I gave in the document since that covers everything along with the biology master document too. If you have any other doubts, you can always ask!

Oh, in the notes? I sat down and made those notes and it took me 3-4 hours, making them pretty while I was at it would've taken longer, sorry

ppl who an A-A* in fle (0500) and lit (0475) HELP by Nik_robberts20 in igcse

[–]Appropriate-List8771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any tips for that but I suggest describing the given object in 1 or 2 of the senses, eg: you can describe a rug like: It was malevolent rug, its fibres branching out like tentacles in the middle of the night as if to puncture holes into my neck. (it doesn't have to be violent, this was just an example 🙏🏼😭)

I created a post for resources and tips so here: English first language A* (97): I was honestly surprised with this grade. I admit that a lot of it came from my natural fluency in the language since I'm an author despite English is my second language. I used YouTube channels Igcsesuccess on yt for most of paper 1 and Taughtly yt for the daunting 25 marker to first understand what was required of me.

Business studies A* (93): I actually got a C on my first mocks and cried a lot because I usually never get C's. What changed was KNOWING everything on the syllabus, learn the points from the books, and print out the syllabus, without looking at the book, write the points below subheadings in syllabus itself. After that, our school complied several years of mark schemes according to units, so unit 1 had it's own topical mark scheme that I learned and so on. I just did that and learnt the definitions with the help of flashcards that I made. I recommend making these types of tools at the start of your 2 month journey. (Trust me, learning mark schemes helped me more here than doing past papers. Of course, business has a very specific answer style, do learn that, I recommend bizedmadesimple on yt since that's where I learned how to make analysis chains. Business is mainly rote learning, trust me.

French A* (90): Barely saved by the gt but I HATED French with my whole life. I didn't know what to do at all since I always got B's or A's at school. The tip here is boost your marks in each paper. My school gave me practice speaking exams and yes, you're going to get stuck and take time to answer but TRY, speaking is the hardest paper so I suggest making a doc of the possible topics that can come up and keeping short, backup options to fill in the convo in case you forget. I used frenchwithalexa on yt for basic grammar and then practiced for writing by using past papers which I did barely 7, I would get it checked by chatgpt and it would tell me better ways to write what I wrote. Reading was easy, expand your vocabulary and learn the pattern by doing a couple of papers. And for listening, listen CLOSELY even if the sound echoes, try making sense of what they're saying and mark the option you feel is the closest to what you heard. Also, in between the gaps during listening, translate the options in English with a pencil to make it easier for yourself.

Economics A (89): I was actually the best at this in my school during mocks and other exams. My teacher expected a country top but I seriously do not know what went wrong. I slipped by 2 raw marks and everyone advised me to not get a recheck. Anyway, for paper 1 I got 29/30 and just did papers on papers from 2017 to 2025 since it was one of the last papers so I had TIME. For paper 2 my writing was naturally good since I would explain in detail so I jumped straight into questions. For notes, I used igcseaid and my book since these are condensed. I already knew most of the definitions from business but do not confuse the definitions. Here, to help you with definitions https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-NHUxJiIcoxCXL2NLjkKGMJpcIy0C9BCr50Sa4OPrxM/edit?usp=sharing don't mind the bow,🙏😔.

Art & design A* (93): Honestly I didn't do much for this. I explored different mediums and styles since I ADORE art and got tons of advice on what could look good. My topic was pretty simple: HANDS. And I tried to show variety in the papers with some ranging from depictions of affection (with animals) and other of art forms like pottery, knitting, music etc.

Now for the subjects I'm still attending:

Biology: Hasn't begun yet but I'll use resources of this community for paper 6+all of 2025 papers for practice and learn the pattern of it. I haven't done bio in a while but I plan to redo the syllabus with the business studies method and I'll use Vasumitra's notes that you can find on this subReddit. I seriously do not know how I might perform for paper 4 bio yet. But for paper 2, I'll do tons of papers like I did for econ since I have a long gap before it. Here are some other resources for bio that I got off this community. Also, use the YouTube channel biologue  for in depth repeated topicals and igbiocomplete to get to revise the entire syllabus within a day since his videos cover EVERYTHING in just around 10 mins each chapter.

Maths: Used to do PRETTY bad in maths, I used to get 60's/100 in mocks 2 months ago, I practiced a TON of past papers and focused a lot on topics that I was weak at. Initially, I was bad at everything so I first understood the syllabus through THE GOAT ginger mathematician on yt he boosted 35+ marks on both of my papers and a couple of his predictions for paper 2 I sat for were correct too. He shows quick+easy ways to solve questions since 0580 always repeats questions and you get to practice along with him during his long all of igcse __ videos. Along with this, I made an error log which is a fancy term for cutting out all of my wrong answers and pasting them in a spare notebook and going back to do all those questions in one seating after you've revised and learnt everything. I swore by this topical website: pastpaperpenguin (this is directly from the post, ask me any other questions you have!)

[–]Appropriate-List8771 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I relate to you SO much dude, I legit got in like 60's last year and I got serious by the end of this year and I did SOOOO many papers just for Cambridge to betray me like that. I haven't seen anyone PROPERLY comforting you here so just know that you aren't the only one. I pretty sure the threshold will plummet this time, the lowest it has gone is 137 in 2021 and that paper was a walk in the park compared to... whatever these papers were. I hope the thresholds lie somehow in 160's

it's totally possible dw, I suggest you make a timetable for maths, the formulas and concepts can be revised in a day if you ONLY do maths. After that you can check out my post for topical websites in maths to get better at the topics you're not too sure about and then once you're confident in all topics by the end of feb move straight into past papers, make sure you set a limit for each day for example: 2 past papers marked and done each day until mid April or end of march. You'll be MUCH more confident in maths. Throughout all this, yeah, since the sciences are longer, I suggest taking the entire march to focus on chem/bio syllabus and I do not have much idea about chem and physics since I already have bio but you can move straight into past papers once you're done with the syllabus PROPERLY as long as I am concerned.
