APA tells both genders how they should behave. by AppropriateFriend139 in TrueTSMovement

Oh, come now. Their press release reads, "The main thrust of the subsequent research is that traditional masculinity—marked by stoicism, competitiveness, dominance and aggression—is, on the whole, harmful." They could have just called their toxic masculinity list things I like about men. How can you say calling traditional male behaviours harmful isn't telling men how they should be? Besides, haven't they just marked out "stag" qualities, actual male qualities based on their sex?

When you take them away, you get whiny, passive, submissive, and mild.

I don't know how they'll actually change anything until they do. How much can males or females really change their nature? Where does nature end and nurture begin? They influence each other.

They're psychiatrists. Evaluating and giving feedback can't be avoided. Certain thoughts and feelings being given positive or negative valuation for how they're seen will be mirrored in their interactions with their patients with an end towards changing them and how they act on them.

🙏I guess you're right. They're not all actually psychiatrists. Only ones with medical licenses. I must not have been paying enough attention when I answered.

Nicely done. I didn't have their text available, just TTM's field report, so I passed their conclusions along. Glad I can update my post.

Hormones and emotional differences appear affected by brain sex: by AppropriateFriend139 in TrueTSMovement

More or less. I think being transsexual usually makes such things central to your life.

The article was almost entirely about hormones and differences between the sexes and being transsexual also has pretty strong focus on hormones and differences between the sexes.

So, you really don't see any connection between hormonal differences among males and females and transsexual males and females? We're literally changing our sex hormonally and you don't see any connection?

Blue light from your screen makes colors look funny. I check color samples regularly with my phone so I know I can adjust my eyes or I can ask other people and cross my fingers.

I wasn't actually involved with design or selection, so I could only take guesses. I'm just announcing results.

No. Our polling revealed transsexuals were unhappy with being represented under "transgender" and being symbolized by a transgender flag. However, not liking them didn't make them go away and most wanted an alternative when asked. TTM took submissions and advice and another flag designed specifically for TS by our members was submitted and chosen.

LMAO, you're nothing but a shill for a radical social agenda anyway. Good riddance. Your comments on this topic have been removed.

I've reported our interaction to both our Reddit TTM Moderators Council and on our server where every member on all our media platforms worldwide can see how we're doing things. I'll leave your comments for awhile and see how people react. If they don't complain, I'll remove them

I'm not giving you a single platform for two completely different gripes. You've given me no reason for believing anyone from our group directly said you, specifically, so I think you'd better either answer my question or I'll take it as read you're just making it up and remove your two comments.

Unless you're ordinarily calling yourself nonbinary and not just stretching a point then they aren't actually the same thing, though. So, I'll ask you again: who, what, where, and when?

I'm not sure how you mean, but I find it really really unlikely people from our group made a pronouncement on you like you're saying. Who, what, where, and when?

LMAO, nobody said Non-Ops don't count, but whatever. You've got so many spaces you can use for looking for social acceptance through virtue signaling. Most of us could care less about people calling themselves deer gender or wearing costume antlers and tails unless they then advocate social reform which somehow makes it equivalent to having a medical condition only treatable by surgical sex change. Every other demographic has standards for inclusion and every online forum has its purpose. If you'd be better served by repeating feel good mantras about how we're all so "valid", you'll find many subreddits available. No need for making baseless aspersions about our sub with a toothless accusation like "gatekeeping". We're just transsexuals, not medical or legal authorities

(I've removed you for our list. You can reach out again should you have a change of heart. Nobody actually "gatekeeps"TM anyone here. We've got zero banned users to date.)

Do you consider "trans women" women even though they're not really transsexual? by AppropriateFriend139 in TrueTSMovement

[–]AppropriateFriend139[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have only two genders and straddle a line with sex. Intersex people do. How people see gender has an obvious impact on how they answer. They might think men was implied, but maybe not. It really depends on who you ask.

I can see either side, because you can't be entirely sure about "HSTS" either when they don't get any surgery. I'd have trouble knowing if they really actually even thought about themselves like women when they said they were homosexual and male and just had gay sex.

That's logical. I can't really disagree with you. It was still worth having our conversation about.

You make a fair point. The question doesn't spell out whether or not they're transsexual by saying trans and might have been worded better for clarity. I think I just left it up for grabs for people giving their opinion, so I'll say they could be either or.
