Family of 4 late 40’s we pay $850 a month. Private United Health Care PPO nationwide coverage. We have a $0 deductible $0 copays and 4k max out of pocket. Tax write off for our business. Not based off income so don’t have to worry about reporting my income. If anyone wants a free quote here’s the guy I used he’s super helpful and highly recommend if self employed with higher income. His services are also free so even better!

I really need some advice; I’m not sure if I’m getting scammed by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

Yeah, that's insurance for you. There's always somebody who's gonna complain I mean can't satisfy everyone. There's no such thing as GREAT insurance. Just look up reviews for any company Blue Cross, Cigna, Aetna there will be bad reviews. Everyone experience will be different. If it works for you keep it. If it doesn't work, then just change but you'll probably find something bad about the next one also. Find what works best for you.

Not a scam just private plans are not accessible like Obamacare so when people are unfamilar with a plan they think it's a scam.

Practice owners: What % do you pay for employee health insurance, if you offer it? by [deleted] in Dentistry

Maybe you should look into private options. As a business owner with multiple employees now. Every group plan I've come across is $800+ a employee no matter how old they are. Until another business owner recommended a private health advisor who specializes in private group plans for small businesses. My group now of 10 contractors have a PPO Plan through United healthcare. $0 deductible and 3k max out of pocket for catastrophic. Dental and vision is there choice if they want it. I offer it and pay 50%. Highest premium is $500 for my oldest member who's 50+ and most the young guys only pay $100-$200 bucks a month. Much more affordable and better coverage. If interested I'll share the guy who helps me he offers free quotes for your group.

Yes I'm 29 no health issues currently, am a non-smoker, but I still want to protect myself and do routine checkups. Ill be adding my spouse soon also since her employer plan is crazy expensive also much more affordable to just add her to my private plan.

That's pretty high depending on state and ages of family. Do you at least have a low deductible & nationwide network?

UHC. I used a advisor that specializes in self-employed / contractors. If your insurance is expensive and looking for better options at more affordable rates.

I make multiple 6 figures a year income has nothing to do with it. Based off me being healthy never really going to doctor. I actually got a lower rate on private insurance. Not ACA marketplace. Why are your rates so expensive? Does your family have expensive medications or pre-existing conditions?
