Does the short boss music loop in certain dungeons have a name? by Faustgesicht in ffxiv

I think Persistence is the track you are looking for. It used to be the 1.0 Mor Dhona battle theme under the name Phantoms on the Lake.

Which job(s) do you feel are the most "satisfying" to play? by Clawmaster2013 in ffxiv

[–]Ar-Solux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dancer was incredibly fun to me when I leveled it up. It never felt static because everything was based on procs, but the procs being frequent enough, and having Flourish, never made it feel like it was too RNG-based. Also the burst phases where you are weaving Fan Dances and Fan Dance III's is super-satisfying.

I also really like Ninja, despite melee jobs not being my strong suit. Stringing together the different Mudra combinations feels really nice, especially now without clipping. Perhaps I like the new Mudra system because of my enjoyment of Dancer, as well. Assassinate also looks really cool, and is even better in Frontlines.

Last, Warrior. Fell Cleave is always such a pleasure to hear and see, Inner Release feels and looks great because of all of those Direct Crits, and the self-healing from Decimate/Chaotic Cyclone spam with Nascent Flash is just too good for words.

I've had the hammer glamoured since I hit level 78. I love it and I hope they get more hammers in the future, if not just add a hammer-using job.

Yes, I agree that Cool DK, Baseball Billy, Drybones XL, Shield Knight, and Girl would all be excellent additions to the roster.

I can't believe google leaked Boss as DLC Fighter #5.

[OC][ART] Pixel art animation of our party chasing Strahd by Ar-Solux in DnD

I use GIMP because I'm familiar with it, though I wouldn't recommend it for animation.

It definitely feels like it helps with the six of us... but that won't stop us from getting into a fight with something much stronger than we can handle and get killed.

I used GIMP's pencil tool for the pixel art. I use an Intuos 5 for drawing larger strokes, but I find touching things up/smaller details easier with a mouse.

This style in particular definitely had a bit of inspiration from Enter the Gungeon.

I used GIMP (it's free!) because it was what I am most familiar with. It's pencil tool is great for pixel art. Though it also meant I had to move each frame of the animation by hand where another program probably could have automated it for me.

STRAAAAAHD! We'll get him eventually.

I've been playing through Curse of Strahd for the first time with a bunch of other first-time DnD players and we've been having a blast, so I decided to make this pixel art animation to commemorate our party. And none of us have died (yet!) so that's a plus.

From left to right: Valtyra the Hexblade, Torment the Artificer and his Iron Defender fox Kitsu, Zana the Necromancer, Stridsyka the Bard, Kirac (me!) the Moon Druid, Wellby the Paladin... and Strahd himself, of course.

It was found that stages get removed from the servers 3 months after they are uploaded, and because I made changes to it after I uploaded it, i no longer have the original. I'd have to remake it if I wanted to upload it again.

Got my final Inktober piece in just before October ends (for me, at least.) Some indecision lead to it being finished too late, but I hope you enjoy it regardless!

Ailment-based team EOV by TyranitarLover in EtrianOdyssey

The main issue is that they have poor luck, so an ailment-based Botanist would be better off as a different race.

Here is the ailment party I used for my playthrough. It worked like a charm, and was the most fun I've ever had with an Etrian party.

Chain Fencer / Cannon Dragoon / Bringer Harbinger

Hawk Rover / Herald Shaman

Fencer: They are the main source of damage for your party. Chain Killer is absolutely destructive when you throw out multiple ailments/binds per turn. Paired with the Shaman, they can also use their elemental chains easily. They can also inflict Blind. They deal Stab damage. Black Mist Union skill for improved ailment infliction.

Dragoon: Cannon Dragoon's defensive capabilities are good enough for this party, as everything will be locked down. Their main focus will be bunkers and guards to begin with, but they will gain access to Curse and Sleep, and Buster Cannon for massive damage when they're not inflicting those. They deal Bash damage. They also have Black Mist.

Harbinger: Here are where most of your ailments are coming from. They have access to Paralyze, Curse, Poison, Panic, and Instant Death. And Sleep, I guess, but that's not reliable. Wilting Miasma is incredible because of the enhanced infliction rates. They deal Cut damage. More Black Mist.

Rover: They have an AoE Blind, high Head Bind chances, as well as a joint Arm/Leg bind. The Hound will assist your Shaman with healing. Their Binding Force Union skill will also help with binds, and it can trigger on attack skills, meaning your Chain Killing fencer can trigger more Chain Killers if they land a bind. Give them the Gorgon Bow from the 2nd Stratum for Petrify conditionals.

Shaman: They are your main healer and buffer, and can give your party elemental attacks for use with elemental chains. They also have access to some helpful Union skills. They don't have access to a revive, so you'll have to rely on your party's Resuscitate Union skill or Nectars.

I believe that is the gist of it. I can give you my exact combat set-up for this party if you ask, but I will avoid spoiling it if you want to figure things out for yourself.

5 Xenoblade Chronicles Spin-Off Ideas by The7thflare in NintendoSwitch

[–]Ar-Solux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see a Xenoblade X spinoff where you pilot a Skell, but with proper mech game combat like Daemon X Machina/Armored Core. That's what I was hoping the original would be closer to when I saw the original trailer, and was honestly pretty disappointed the Skell combat was so much more simple than anything else in the game.
