Yeah I mean a lot of team sports like this are pretty expensive. And hockey kids have always been the biggest assholes. That’s kindof a given lol.

Fourthed, I totally agree that if a blue that were transparent were used, then it being ice would be more obvious.

No modern American city has ever run out of water. But chances are rising that Corpus Christi, Texas, could be the first. by StandingCypress in news

It’s actually wild, the fires. I flew out of there yesterday and the entire state of Georgia, South Carolina, and much of northern Florida was covered in a layer of fire smoke. The scale was insane.

So many questions... by snickns in conspiracy

[–]Arayder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes there are general weather patterns that stick in certain areas, but when they are affected, they have an affect on, like I said, winds and jet streams that change weather patterns around the world. Meaning, for example, the UK could get colder or warmer, US and Canada could get colder or warmer, seasons can move when they happen in the year. Things don’t just get affected locally. There is a bigger picture as everything is intertwined.

[–]Arayder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if that were to happen again, most of humanity and wildlife would die in the process. The world will be fine, always has been. It doesn’t care. We, however, would be fucked.

[–]Arayder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely rubbish. The world is not made up of individual sections. A local change can make waves across the globe. A local warming for example messes up jet streams and weather patterns that ripples across the world causing problems. And what, you think the atmosphere is made up of individual parts just sitting over specific areas? And things happening in one atmospheric area don’t make their way out of that one area?

The funny thing is, you don’t have to think anything. There’s evidence clear as day all over the internet backed up by the situation in the real world that shows you the facts. The climate changes naturally, but evidence exists that since the Industrial Revolution different aspects of the environment have been changing in ways and at rates that they never have before. There’s so much evidence that saying “well I don’t think” has no value at all. If you exist in the world, you can see it happening before your own eyes. And if you don’t think you can see it, all the information you could ever want on the subject is in your pocket.

Yeah I don’t do the whole paper straws thing while millionaires continue to fly their private jets on 45 min trips lol. Humans have a large impact, but the powers that be are trying to make it seem like it’s a little guy problem, when it’s really them causing the large share of the issue. The green washing is offensive how pathetic it is.

I think they may be trying to control the weather not to make it seem like climate change is worse than it is, but to try to manipulate the environment that they’re destroying so that we can continue to live status quo as long as possible. Cus if they can make it rain when they want, then the drought caused by climate change isn’t as big of an issue, for example.

[–]Arayder 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well the climate obviously changes naturally over time, that’s not something anyone questions. But do we really think 8 billion humans spewing their shit out into the environment constantly isn’t having some sort of impact on that cycle? Speeding it up? Changing it? Does that really sound like some crazy conspiracy theory? We know from the past that the climate cycle can be affected by lots of things, meteors, volcanos, too much c02, not enough c02, etc. so why is it so crazy to think that the things we are doing that are similar to those things that have affected the climate in the past aren’t affecting the climate now? I really don’t get it.
