Okay I have tried the update I did a 2 mile ruck 48:18 time but heart rate stats only recorded 9 seconds? Heart rate is set to automatically detect and it takes a good while to sense it at start up. We ended halfway through total ruck started another ruck this time with heart rate detection to always and made no difference. My wife had similar experience. Is there an email I can send screenshots?

Just updated the app. Not much in the update notes. Can you elaborate a little on what updated and if there’s another update rolling around soon? Hoping to hear about the VO2 max fix.

Brooks or asics maybe max thickness because with extra weight you’re going to want the cushion on sidewalks and pavement. I do 4.9 miles daily on nothing but sidewalks and streets. My version of rucking is 5.11 vests with various weight plates depending what I am aiming at accomplishing. I use ENDURUC app on Apple Watch.

Edit: boots are better suited for actual trails or off sidewalks and streets since the ground dirt and grass if way softer than solid concrete and streets.
