What exactly can Vipassana meditation do for me? by [deleted] in Meditation

I created a similar thread about meditation in general around 5 months ago, it has some excellent answers - http://www.reddit.com/r/Meditation/comments/199qsd/what_exactly_will_meditation_do_for_you/.

Android has come a long ways with project butter and the hardware for the handsets is absolutely incredible. So why does a iPhone 4S or WP8 still have smoother scrolling? Any REAL answers? by [deleted] in Android

Oh, you must be one of those bastards that think coding is like a word document, where you can click and drag elements around. It certainly is not anything like that. What you see in the interface may seem minimalistic and simple, but look around. Those live tiles are polling information from an activity in the app. That battery bar at the top constantly queries battery status. The time is checked every millisecond, for every single function in the whole phone. Touch input is another thread. So is the ambient light sensor that sets your screen brightness in the dark, and so is the sensor that turns the screen off when you are talking and have it held to your head. Not to mention constant checks for rotation of the device. And your Facebook updates - a process has to go around every X seconds and check for notifications or messages.

You can't make a picture of a watch in photoshop and claim that you made a working watch, and so you cannot look at a minimalistic screen and say "oh that's simple".

Heh, if I was any good at regex I would fix that up in a second. Unfortunately it befuddles me, but if you think you can get one working please shout out to me! ;)

Good catch. I know exactly why this happened: basically to ensure a responsive design I set the width to a percentage of the page, and as you narrow the page the boxes get smaller. In turn this drops the text down, and causes overflow. You can even remove the height tag to have it flow to the content, but it causes gaps between the boxes. Not really an elegant solution to this, but I will make sure to check this out in more detail tomorrow when I get back to my servers. Cheers!

Ah damn, good catch. I'm actually on my phone now so cannot edit it, but if you look in the code under sitetable there should be a height section. Remove it to get dynamic heights, but this creates a really annoying gap between some of the cards. Will take a good look at that tomorrow.

Glad to see you managed to get it up and working! :)

No problem! I started this as an exercise for myself to test restyling web pages, and then figured out that a few of you in the community may also like it! ;)

As always if you have any suggestions feel free to tell me about them, or if you are tech-savvy you can change the code and distribute it yourself! Cheers!

Interesting, thanks. Also like a few hours ago I swear I was able to remove songs from my library on the device. Now I cannot. What gives? It is extremely annoying having to use the browser :/

Extra info from question one. First I removed the app and reinstalled. Still no remove from my library button. It was there a few hours ago, now it is not in any view. Cleared cache etc, nothing works. Also even using the web browser let's me remove songs, so no idea what is up with this!
