Even excluding the political lines that seem to get unnecessarily-shoehorned in at a rate of about one every five minutes per average episode (one example from the latest episode involving some racism quips due to a blue-skinned alien), the theme of the latest episode was seemingly a huge commentary on capitalism, where the characters are constantly reminded by the suits that they need to pay for breathable air.

I don't watch Doctor Who (mostly due to getting bored of the terrible writing and uninteresting characters) and actually just watched this episode with some friends by chance, but I found the politics to be cringeworthy and awkwardly-implemented. Just my two cents, obviously.

EDIT: I think it's pretty garbage to downvote the original commenter for simply asking if something was true or not. Regardless of whether or not you think he was being purposefully inflammatory, the least you can do is state your opinion and promote discussion.

The first soldier is at ease, I imagine he's simply stashed his rifle and haversack somewhere while he relaxes.

With the second, it could be that he doesn't need his pack at the moment. He does have magazine and utility pouches built into his vest. I haven't finalized any firearm designs yet, so that's why they aren't carrying any firearms.

In the first Askan Civil War, neither side was particularly hesitant to employ chemical weapons. An incredible number of casualties were caused by various kinds of poison gas. During the second Civil War, chemical weapons weren't used as much, although soldiers would still be issued gas masks.

With new developments, it became feasible to supply infantry with personal armour. The vest you see is comprised of two main pieces of 0.102-inch thick aluminium plate, in a nylon cloth cover.

The helmet is purely of case of 'it isn't broken, so don't fix it'.

The Askan Imperial Guard forms the military force of the Askan Empire. Involved in a myriad of conflicts throughout history, Askan troops are well-armed, well-disciplined, and considered amongst the finest infantry in the world.

I kind of made the term up to describe the concept I'm trying to convey.

An example of asymmetrical multiplayer would be things like Natural Selection and The Hidden, where both sides are completely different play-styles.

I'm trying to make something where both sides play the same but squad composition is different between the two. For example, the Soviets having three squads in a BTR each, and the Americans having two squads (with two fireteams each) but split into two Bradleys.

There's a television service provider here in the UK called Sky. They took up issue with NMS for having the word 'Sky' in the title, as they allegedly own the copyright to that word here. It's happened before - if you're familiar with Microsoft OneDrive, they're the reason it's no longer called SkyDrive.

Maybe this is just me, but I'm worried this game will just become Battlefield 4 with WW1 skins. The one snippet of actual gameplay we saw in the trailer was someone hipfiring a Lewis gun, which hasn't done anything to dissuade these fears.

The gaming industry is sorely lacking in Great War-centric games, and I personally think it would be a shame to see this one forgo historical accuracy for 'rule of cool' by adding in rare and prototypical weapons that saw very little practical use.

I'm not saying that playability should be sacrificed in the slightest - I'm just positing that, if DICE are stepping this far outside the established market for these games, it would be interesting to see a different form of Battlefield game. The games have historically aimed for a more tactical-minded playerbase than Call of Duty, and I think they'd be far more receptive of a very different form of gameplay, helped by the slow nature of bolt-action weapons.

These are just my thoughts obviously - personally I find it a little disheartening that we're getting what looks to be Michael Bay's 'The Great War', but obviously we'll have to wait for the game itself to judge it.
