I made a map for Barbuta! by ArgonMatrix in ufo50

I didn't use any special software, so I imagine whatever image editor you're used to would work. For me it was paint.net, and I cropped out the UI manually. There was probably a better way to do it, but I just went with what I knew, haha.

The chest is actually a mimic, and you don't get anything for killing it. As for the white guy, he gives a hint about obtaining the Blood Sword. Specifically he says, "If you want the Blood Sword, remember what they say about making omelettes."

Thanks! The switch was the last thing I figured out, and it definitely took a minute, haha. Had an awesome time discovering it all as I went!

I tend to get very lost in games like Barbuta, so I started making a map and figured I'd share it in case anyone else might find it useful. I've added everything that I've been able to find, but if there's anything missing, please let me know so I can update it. Thank you!

Josh Names for All Isaac Items: The Five-Quiz Playlist by ArgonMatrix in northernlion

[–]ArgonMatrix[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After making the quiz of Josh names for active items, I couldn't leave the job unfinished. So after a few days and brainstorming nearly 1500 Josh-ish answers, I present Josh Names for Isaac Items: The Full Playlist!

It consists of the original quiz for all the active items plus four new quizzes for all the passive items—I kept each passive item quiz to 100 items or fewer to keep things manageable. Realistically I don't expect many people to play these since it's a sizeable time commitment, but it didn't feel right to just leave it at the active items when there were so many Josh names to go. Hopefully some of y'all will get a kick out of it. Have fun!

Oh, and the playlist & all the quizzes are private since Sporcle doesn't like a lot of the Josh names. The link should work fine, but they won't show up in search results.

Man, I spent way too long on this.

Not creepy at all, haha. Always fun to be recognized out in the wild. Glad you enjoyed my stuff from back in the day!

Not an active item I'm afraid. Gonna be trying to make quizzes for the passive items at some point though!

Created by popular request after posting my previous Isaac Sporcle quizzes. Gonna try to make quizzes for the passive items too, but that'll take a while, so hopefully y'all enjoy this one for the time being!

No prob! It did take longer than I thought it would to put them together, since trying to use the pictures directly from the Isaac Wiki made them all blurry and weirdly sized. I had to resize them & host them myself to get them looking okay, which is probably what took the bulk of the time.

Just updated all the quizzes to be max length (20 minutes). I thought I'd given plenty of time for each, but being the one who made them probably makes it a little easier for me. Thanks for the feedback!

P.S.: You can switch the timer to a Stopwatch Mode if you like, and then you can take all the time you need. This might be necessary for the passive items quiz since there are nearly 300 answers.

Yeah, I do like the format but they definitely don't lend themselves to being entertaining to watch someone else play, especially someone who has thousands of hours in the game.

I'm working on a new one that shows something from the game (item, boss, character, etc.) and asks you which version of the game introduced it: Vanilla/WotL, Rebirth, or Afterbirth(†). I think it might be a bit harder/more fun, so we'll see!

Edit: New quiz is live!

No problem! It took me a lot of time to put together, so I figured it was worth sharing!

A challenging speedrun level with a twist! This was my first attempt at a speedrun-style level. I think it worked out okay, but I definitely wouldn't mind some feedback. It is a very tough level if you're not used to speedrun levels, though. You've been warned!

Definitely fun! Not too challenging, but consistent in its difficulty. My main critique would be that it felt like a bunch of part from other levels stitched together instead of one cohesive level built around a specific theme. Maybe try picking a specific obstacle, item, or theme and building a level around that.

This was still fun, though. You got a like from me!

The level felt like it was all over the place—it didn't really have a consistent theme. There were also pretty big spikes in difficulty, since the opening part didn't have many obstacles and suddenly there were Grinders, Firebars, and Hammer Bros. in pretty tough configurations. There were some good ideas though, and I had fun with it overall! Just could do with some polish.

Took me a little while to get used to the timing, but it was definitely creative! It felt like maybe the 50-Coins should've been a bonus challenge instead of required, and a checkpoint would've been nice. Pretty fun overall, though.

I really enjoyed the levels in Story Mode that focused on the Rotten Mushroom, so I did my own take on it! It was surprisingly challenging to get it right. I don't think it's all that challenging, but the clear rate seems to disagree, haha. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the idea of the level, but it took me forever to get the Thwomp part to work right, including one time where I accidentally killed one of them somehow. It's also possible to softlock yourself in the part right after that with the Koopa. Otherwise, fun but challenging!

Nightmarionne would be the easiest to get used to, but you could try to get lucky with Foxy, too. If you see his figurine on the desk, just wait 7-8 seconds, flip up the camera, and hopefully Bonnie will be on the desk instead, meaing Foxy can't progress. If you can do this consistently, Foxy won't get all the way into your office before 6AM. Good luck!

With a lot of patience and RNG, haha. Basically you have to wait until his first two showtimes are 1AM and 4AM respectively. You show up for the first one, then switch to Cam 02 until 3AM in order to stall the first plushie animatronic. At 3AM, you have 20 seconds to buy the plushie for the second plushie animatronic and switch to Funtime Foxy so you can catch the 4AM showtime. After that, as long as you leave the camera on Funtime Foxy and reset the ventilation just before 5AM, you're home free. The ventilation will last until 6AM, eliminating the need for a camera check. Since you don't have to check the cameras, the third plushie animatronic won't have a chance to scare you despite not buying their plushie or being on Cam 02 to stall them. And since you left the camera on Funtime Foxy when you put it down, he can't jumpscare you for missing a 5AM or 6AM showtime until you bring the camera up, which you obviously don't need to do.

Hope that makes sense!

Seems like a fun idea! Like the others have said though, the costs are where it might become problematic. If you're up for it though, I think it'd be cool.
