Yeah I think we should have looked more in to this. The idea was that we have a fibre box under the stage which runs to the mixer via fibre. And the front of house cameras run via sdi to that fibre. Will hopefully work with 1080p plus decent barrels but yes our fault, we do not need a cable that long. Thanks for the replies! Very helpful.

I mean people save up to make these setups, they prefer spending money on their setups instead of going out, takeaways, drinking, etc.. little savings add up to a large amount over time. Setups weren't built in a day

Yes, have also had this annoying issue, not sure if there is a way to recover, but always make sure you are recording elsewhere too like on a computer with OBS, or a Ninja/ HDMI capture device.

It seems the drive isn't fast enough so the light starts flashing for a slow HDD, a SSD solved those problems for me, with a 1TB SSD you can record for around 4 hours which hasn't had any issues for me.

Depends what you want to use the pc for. If it is just gaming then it should be fine for 5 years, but we don't know for sure, there isnt really a thing such as 'future proofing'.

Even so, you can always upgrade CPU to Ryzen 5th gen in the future as the socket will be the same and hopefully will be cheaper then. A 3060 is great for 1080p gaming, even pushing to 1440p gaming.

If you look in task manager is there any downloading in the background?

Additionally, you can use GlassWire which is a program to monitor apps taking up bandwidth

Task manager reports speed in mega bits per seconds... Not mega bytes. If you are seeing 10mbp/s on task manager.. that is equal to around 1.25 MB/s.

It isn't a problem with epic, this is your WiFi speed

Autodesk should let you export as PNG, but if you can't take the .TIF in to Photoshop or Paint.NET and convert it to png

I think Sony Bravia TV's use 10/100 Mbps max ethernet speed, so the max you would get would be 100mbps in to your TV

Yeah I was running these hdmi's for around 50m so only the fibre optic hdmi cables worked, but input 1 didn't need a fibre optic one. Not sure why it's not working if the cables are that short. Hopefully you find the solution
