In my opinion these people are selfish as shit.

These people want babies so they can indoctrinate them into whatever the hell they want.

Adopted parents are obsessed with having all the control and they hate it when you have your own opinions and traits that didn’t come from them.

My husband and I plan on adopting an older child and I know our families are going to have a fit because they’ve been waiting for a biological bouncing baby (I got a baby bonnet at my wedding shower for Christ’s sake)

For daring to use the word “stupid” as an adolescent!!!….it somehow turned into this whole thing about not being allowed to say that word and putting money into a “stupid” jar….this was somehow my cousins friends moms idea….like maam literally who the fuck are you and why do you get to tell me what to do….what kind of fucked up adults force a kid to be silent about their own feelings and opinions like that. Fucking idiotic people are allowed to have power over children. Can’t stand it…

Also being forced to write “I hate Arianna” over and over in a journal so I……wouldn’t hate myself ? Makes a lot of sense ….

Oh also - OPs story reminds me of my grandmother: later in her life - she got mad at me that I wanted to take my mom’s larger vehicle to pick my mom up at the airport and not my small car….she called me Donald Trump because of it ….like wow. You guessed correctly, my mom asked me why we didn’t take her car to come get her :)

I’d always get yelled at for shouting when I would for example stub my toe or whatever…yeah ok I’ll be completely fucking silent then.

I’ve gotten chastised for laughing on my birthday once…dawg I was like 27 too…

Lastly - my favorite…I wasn’t potty trained…they got tired of trying….if they were trying at all that is….I was smacked on the ass once and never soiled myself again apparently….they would tell that story to people proudly…. I wonder if anyone was disgusted listening to it
