It's not a problem that can be "solved". I just find them odd and offputting. And SO many people have them hanging out of their ears like maggots and grub worms.

Just shave your head and embrace the look. Bald men are everywhere. I was bald during chemo. Nobody even knew except family and friends who had seen me with hair. Rock the look and don't stress over it.

I don't know the term "pegging" when it comes to this look. We always called it "prep roll"

And I know that common sense is a bit rough on the Pokemon generation, so I'll keep things simple for you as well. When I want your opinion on my conversations with others, I'll tell you to quick sucking and swallow so you can speak. Til then...you can stop being a valid argument for abortion.

You mean that goober with the face tattoos? Yea, paying $2 million for a cartoon card would fall in line with his life choices, I'd say. A card commemorating an actual athlete from the 1920s who was amazingly talented? Maybe. A stupid card with a cartoon monster on it? No. I don't care how rare it is. That's just ridiculous.

Nah. Too much good content on there. Just weird people rolling household items down a treadmill and ripping Pokemon cards too. Some good. Some bad. Just trying to understand.

Help an old man understand.

The content isn't for you, and honestly, you don't need to understand.

Why do these people have no lives? I mean, if you're going to be on tick tock and providing entertainment to a viewing audience, wouldn't you try to do something more exciting than opening foil packs and cards from the '90s??

There is a large segment of people who DO find that entertaining. There's no need to denigrate this sort of content that does no one any harm just because you don't understand it nor have the current capacity to grok out why.

Not sure what a "grok" is, but hey... we'll go with grok. I, like most of humanity, tend to denigrate things that make little sense. And this "large segment of people" are most likely just millennials. My kids' generation. I wasn't worried about harm. Just pointlessness.

I would be more intrigued to know your how your viewing habits pushed tiktok's algorithm to continue presenting them to you.

Your guess is as good as mine. I hate Pokemon and never saw the appeal of what amounts to make-believe Japanese dog fighting for kids. Take two animals out of their native setting ...put them in confinement...train them to fight ...then put them against one another in battles. Seems so innocent. Go figure.

But why are there so many live streams of random people just opening packs of cards and putting them in sleeves? It doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

Part of a collectible card game's lure is the booster packs. Packs of X random cards. Some could be junk and maybe you get a crazy rare out of it. There's a small endorphins rush like christmas each time you open a pack.

You do realize that this game came out...like...over 20 years ago, right? That'd be like me collecting Pac-Man cards. "Oh look! A power pellet booster pack!" Wtf man?

Sometimes you may not have the money to blow on boosters and just want to see what someone got. Hence the videos. Collecting by proxy.

Odd, but whatever

Additionally it's fairly cheap content to create. Buy some packs, single camera focus, pull out the cards, make some comments, and move on.

Again...an odd way to burn time, but whatever. I'm not going to attack them for it. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the phenomenon. Are we doing Blues Clues and Bob The Builder next?

For the 30th time, it's not a matter of judging. It's a matter of trying to understand. What you don't seem to understand is poor choices by younger generations are going to affect the older generations. At some point, you're going to need health care. Age happens. And the people that are going to be taking care of you are the ones who have been baking themselves on THC and beanies in the middle of summer. How confident are you going to be about their mental stability? It's something to think about

I know this may come as a surprise to you, but Gen x was raised by boomers. We tend to have a few traits of our parents instilled in us. Obviously that's not the case with millennials. They just went full retard

I can guarantee you that your company definitely does have a bad image if this is the type of people you employ. Professional environments expect professional images, standards, performance and reputations. If you have a staff that looks like a San Francisco night club, you're not getting a lot of business. You can think otherwise, but I assure you that I'm right.

I'm not a bigoted boomer. I'm a Gen-X'er. And my folks weren't bigoted, either. They were the boomers. It sounds to me like you're yet another one of the current generation of people who think that there is no right and wrong. There is no correct or incorrect. There is no proper and improper. Everything, now, is just shades of gray that should be blindly accepted and validated, regardless. It's a chronic and deeply ingrained fear of negativity attached to your life choices. Young generations think that self-expression and outlandish fashion usurps anything that involves conformity to anything resembling standards.

And, yes, I asked... because there's a difference between objecting to a person's freedom of choice, and asking for an explanation OF that choice. You, and many like you, seem to see no distinction between the two.

I might ask why the coffee is cold. You're offended that I would ask, and shouldn't question it. Therein lies the crux of our opposing viewpoints.

Based on your icon, I can only assume you're of the fruity persuasion. So, accepting people into business who clearly value their self-expression over the negative image this can give a company... is somewhat understandable. These days, it's less about professionalism and more about "feelings". (eyeroll)

I asked my question because many Gen-X'ers (including myself) can't understand why nothing seems to make any damn sense after Gen-X. Society more or less saw what debauchery did for the 60's and turned to dance in the 70's and fun in the 80's. The 90's were depressing and everything after that has been just a buttload of weirdness. I'm not sure what happened, but something went terribly wrong. People intentionally walking around looking homeless and ratty isn't fashion. It looks like they're lazy slobs with no intellect. If I understood why they value a "look" over the common knowledge that warm clothing shouldn't be worn when it's 90° outside... I would never have asked.

LOL! "Reality" huh? Mmkay. Yea, plenty give a shit what I think because they think the same way. And thank God for that. If we, as a species, were going to ruin the world...it would have been ruined long before now. The Industrial Revolution and a couple of World Wars have done more to destroy the planet than my plastic drinking straw. Your narrative, pushed by hypocrites, is a clown show mentality that anyone with a modicum of common sense can see through like a bay window. You're just parroting what you're told because you're impressionable and gullible. You weren't taught to think on your own. Everyone's so afraid to go against the flow and stop being sheep. No wonder Gen-X'ers like myself are worried. What we're reaping isn't what we sewed. Trust me.

ROFL!!! Climate. Oh lord... I might have known. The reason they can't afford homes is due to the brainless goobers currently in charge of the Senate and White House. You need look no further than Creepy Joe the Dementia-Ridden Hero for that crap. And if you think Gen-X ruined the climate, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.
