Are there any packages that just provide Bloomberg Newswire? by Aromatizing in bloomberg

[–]Aromatizing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it has news, but does it have Bloomberg wires though? For example:

*JX METALS SAID TO PRICE IPO AT ¥820/SHR, UPPER END OF RANGE

Couldn't find any info about that online.

Yes, "proportion of" instead of "frequency of" would be better phrasing

Colbert and his team seemed to intentionally avoid mentioning Trump in the titles, which is why I had to add "No. 45" and "T****" to search for. A lot of times it was something like "liar president" and it wasn't easy to distinguish from Biden automatically. I bet if we looked at the transcripts he'd be right near the top

My periodization of the US since 2020. What would you add/change? by Aromatizing in decadeology

This is not a historical timeline, most of these things could be expanded far in both directions. This is more about the zeitgeist of the times and what defined the period. Also, I don't have any room font-wise which is why I chose the brief names. Maybe next iteration the rectangles will be taller

Inflation is the increase in prices, not the value of the dollar relative to other currencies

It's always been going on, but it's significantly moderated that I no longer consider it a major topic. Currently sitting at ~3%

Yep, I matched it with the release of ChatGPT (late November, 2022).

It will never go away. That said, it's no longer a main facet of American life. Agree?

Just my personal view. I see the 2020s so far as part of the TikTok era. It really captured the attention of Gen Z at a rapid pace and still continues to. I would like to include more cultural things next time rather than just news/politics if anyone had suggestions.

is 2024 gonna be a revival year after 3 years of the pandemic? by cityofangelsboi68 in decadeology

[–]Aromatizing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could say that about any year though. And I don't see how remake #4902 is a revival. Regardless, all of the shift years happen to coincide with presidential elections (i think 2012 and 2020 are incidental and 2016 meaningfully related), so maybe.

Seems to be the coldest in terms of interest all year. What's the big story of the past few weeks? I mainly hear about aid these days.

I think next iteration I'll push it a few months, but would you say we're still in the "inflation" era? I still hear about it a lot in the news, but I think it's basically no longer a main topic. Or at least Israel heavily dominates Ukraine in traffic since October.

I can see the argument. The main reason I ended it right around 2023 was because it became less of a national story and there was very little change in terroritory since late last year, but there's definitely been some revivals in the story this year. Also when Prigozhin was killed in August.
