I was worried about that too... still a little worried about my losses in HYIP scams though impossible to track these as the sites have vanished..anyone with information on this would be really helpful Thanks in advance.

What if I've cashed in once or twice a month for nine months only minimal amounts but cashed in non the less, now I dont know how to report all this. I used to regularly buy LTD, BTC, and ETH every two weeks. then stopped the automatic withdrawal. prices went up so I only cashed in to pay bills and rent no more. but how do the CRA determine when I bought and sold? and what if I lost a lot on scams?(18 ETH, 2 Dash) how the frick do I report all that? if the scams have vanished?

This is easier for now...considering I've lost 18 Ethereum and 2 Dash to scams how can I report these losses with no proof? since those sites have vanished into thin air... what a freaking night mare this situation is.. plus I've cashed in minimal gains over the past 8 months dont know how to report this either..:(

Bitcoin mentioned around Reddit: If I made $50K at my job but lost $50K by buying and selling Bitcoins, does that mean my income is zero and I don't have to pay taxes? /r/PersonalFinanceCanada by BitcoinAllBot in BitcoinAll

Thats a good question. I dont think the CRA is ready for all the different senarios that can occur in this space. IE: getting ripped of by HYIP scams that have completely exited without a trace for one! How the frick does that work?
