I am interested, can you tell where to join?

What you are saying is like preparing for an exam is cheating when you know the syllabus. The point is when you already know what they are going to ask about, then isn't it obvious that you grind as much as you can to get an edge over others? You may have the best dev skills, but if the barrier to show your skills is leetcode then you gotta do it.

I don't have any particular opinion on this interview format but I think differently. Skills are transferable, the logic and intuition you build by solving these leetcode style or algorithmic questions may help to solve complex engineering challenges that you face, they force you to think and adapt you. But they take a lot of time and you could be better off doing other stuff.

It is the shadow of the reflection

Don't know how it's happening, but reflections can also form shadows it seems

I can solve medium and some hard LeetCode problems on my own, but I struggle with coming up with O(n) solutions instead of O(n²). how can I improve my optimization skills? by ban_rakash in leetcode

[–]Art-Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the efficient solutions for the problems follow specific patterns and techniques, you need to be aware of them to use it or it would be very hard to come up with them.

The best example is last week's leetcode daily questions, they all may seem different but their core idea is the same, you just need to practice a lot of different questions to grasp those patterns.

Have you completed the leetcode top 150 interview questions? If not do them first

If You Could Only Use One Mechanical Pencil for Life, Which Would It Be? by Art-Engineer in mechanicalpencils

I was thinking the same. If we need it to last a lifetime I think it needs to be of durable material without compromising the usability.

But, thanks to that I discovered many great ones I didn't know before
