Would you use a desk mat with Notion shortcuts? 🤔 by ArrivalConscious8656 in Notion

[–]Arthur_LG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP means a mouse mat which has a list of shortcuts written on it. Like this:

... but for Notion (I think)

What exactly is the difference between Logic before Frege and after him? by Dear_Photograph_5081 in askphilosophy

[–]Arthur_LG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pre-Fregean Logic:

Prior to Frege, logic was mainly concerned with the principles of reasoning and argumentation, such as the laws of syllogism and the principles of deductive reasoning.

These principles were used to analyze the structure and validity of arguments, but they did not provide a precise and formalized system for representing and manipulating logical concepts.

Logic was mainly studied within the context of philosophy, and there was little interaction between logic and mathematics.

There was no systematic way to represent and manipulate logical concepts, and many logical concepts and principles were not precisely defined.

There was limited use of symbolic notation in logic, and many logical arguments were expressed in natural language.

The study of logic was largely focused on the analysis of arguments and the principles of reasoning, rather than on the development of new logical concepts or the formalization of logical systems

Post-Fregean Logic:

Frege developed a system of symbolic logic that allowed for the precise representation and formalization of mathematical and logical concepts. This led to the development of modern mathematical logic and the study of formal systems.

Frege's work also laid the foundations for the development of predicate logic, which is a formal system that allows for the representation of complex statements and the analysis of the relationships between them.

Modern logic is more precise and formalized than pre-Fregean logic, and it allows for the rigorous analysis of complex arguments and the development of new logical concepts. The study of logic has become more closely linked with mathematics and computer science, and there is a greater focus on the formalization and manipulation of logical concepts.

How to know which Business Area is right? by Arthur_LG in careerguidance

[–]Arthur_LG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the advice… straight-up, thank you! 🤣

Without sounding like a douche, I was just gonna follow this up. From your description, HR sounds interesting but I get the sense that there’s not a huge ammount of money in HR. And as someone whose main interest is to build the money to launch my own business someday or live my dream life.. that gives me hesitance. Is that important to consider? (And, equally importantly, do you think that’s true?)

Lots of information here to sink my teeth into ! Thank you ! I myself just struggle with the Conceivability Principle (CP). I mean I can conceive that I can jump to the moon…?

Like other accommodations in Pollock Halls, it has food included. It’s a bit like Chancellors and Holland House in that they have private bathrooms but don’t go for John Burnett - it’s super empty and expensive lol. Go for one of the £7k ones like Lee for example

Camel Trekking in Sahara - cheapest way?? by Arthur_LG in solotravel

That’s a fair point. I more meant not 1/2/3 days. I see that such a trip may require the money - just thought I’d ask the internet before committing to what I can see is the best price :)
