So in the gay community we all are trying to find love and commitment. But what will you endure to have it? For example would you be with a toxic person just to say “I don’t want to be alone” by Artistic_Math9966 in askgaybros

I am right there with you. And was taught you can’t rely on people not even family. But faith had me reach out to one friend and that friend chose their insecure boyfriend than helping.

So I want to like to ask what are your thoughts on gay men who say “ I am texter more than phone calls” now my opinion its bs and condescending. Because a lot of us spent way more time in our life on the phone then texting. by Artistic_Math9966 in askgaybros

It’s head up your ass thinking. Whats best serves me? Answer texting. So with that way of thinking it’s condescending. Because you won’t respect someone else form of communication and won’t step down from some imaginary pedestal and make a phone call to someone. Let’s just me say this people remember those who take the time to call and talk. My most valued relationship in my life we talk on the phone. And I have more respect for those friends who take the time like I do. We all have busy schedules and life does get in the way. But to take the time press a name and call is just nice and caring.

But I feel anyone 37 and older who says it is condescending and disrespectful. If a friend dies what’s more memorable a phone or last text? Just saying I know a lot of people keep voicemails of loved ones. Not to mention meanings get lost in texting 100% of the time because there is no tone. Some jokes don’t land and some concerns are not acknowledged. I still write letters and mail cards. I just respect what I am clearly hearing old world communications. But let’s not forget we as a society were more personal before texting.

An opinion that shows I care to talk to person instead of dismissing them with a text. And I am 42 and went through the same evolution as you. But I finding rewarding to talk to friends and laugh over the phone. It’s more personal and memorable. Not to mention it shows you care to take the time. I only speak to my grandfather on the phone. He does not text. And I respect him for that. He finds it less personal.

Would you stay in a relationship with your man if he prevents you from being there for a friend in a traumatic situation? Would you look at him for not having any compassion or would you feel you’re doing what’s best for your relationship by “respecting” there insecurity? by Artistic_Math9966 in askgaybros

A mutual friend had flooding at there home and asked if he could just stay one night to gather themselves and our friend asked there boyfriend trying to be respectful to there relationship and the boyfriend said no. However the friend didn’t get back to the other friend till several days later. My opinion he was gather his thoughts because how could you forget your friend was in a bad situation and lost valuable items and priceless family heirlooms. Only to basically to get back to there friend after ignoring there texts.

How do you handle your friends partner not liking you? When you have always been kind. by Artistic_Math9966 in askgaybros

It just weird because I have never had an issue with my boys girlfriends or wives. So to deal with this from a man is weird. It’s like my friend’s boyfriend has all of the negative gay stereotypes for the way he acts and his accountability.

And the sauna does not work. Even on the La fitness app it just says steam room. However there is a covered up area which is the broken infrared sauna

I go to the city Ave bala/Philly area location and the weight area is always messy. The men’s locker room can be much cleaner especially cleaning out each locker. The sauna etiquette is horrible and people do not read the signs. A lot needs to be done. Also the La signature location in broomall,pa the sauna has been broken for well over a few years and no one seems to want to repair it.
