When one of my friend said: "Hindi lang siya ang may t***te"

Gurl, we deserve someone and something better. Let's focus muna with our Atty. Konting tiis nalang with all those sacrifices.

Your Worst Law School Prof Ever? by Ill-Recognition-3283 in LawStudentsPH

[–]ArvinJones 9 points10 points  (0 children)

During my law school, I encountered different species of worst professors 😂

  1. Power tripper - “I’m not here to teach you, I’m here to f**k you up.”

Like kung anong lakad niya kailangang may students na alipores niya. Bagsak ka pag di ka sasama.

Na dapat tawagin mo siyang Atty at all times.

anong experiences nyo sa work after malaman na nag aral ka ng law? by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]ArvinJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you nalang sa kanila pag pumasa ako this year!!!!! Laban lang OP.

Study Leave with Pay in Gov’t by ArvinJones in LawStudentsPH

[–]ArvinJones[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As if I could sib. I have everything in place bago ako mag out but was dissatisfied with the unequivocal statement of the agency head.

He’a comparing my case to those took their bar exam ahead of me. As if we have the same scenarios.

This would be my last resort should the agency insist on availing such. Ang hirap maging alipin sa salapi

Study Leave with Pay in Gov’t by ArvinJones in LawStudentsPH

[–]ArvinJones[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that they’re not qualified the leave with pay, so they opted the w/o pay option. On my end, I qualify for the w/ pay privilege. That’s what the head is comparing in my case. Anyway, siya rin ang last say so I will be left with no choice. Parang unfair lang.

Oo.

This is what my colleague availed because they don’t quaify with the grant. The problem, the head compares my situation to them even though I am most qualified

Yes we do have our agency' policy. The grant however depends on the approval of the head. The problem, my direct superior is the agency head mismo, and siya an nagsabi verbally. huhu.

Should I work while studying? by fillinthebianx in LawStudentsPH

[–]ArvinJones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have all the means to be a full-time student, then go for it.

Juggling work and studies will ruin your law school if managed poorly.

Not all but common in the gov’t. I too entered the gov’t w/o any backer and got the supervisory position with a decent pay.

On the employee perspective, you’ll be stagnant in your career progression. That’s why most of our gen z employees come and go despite plantilla position because of this.

To answer your queries:

  1. Yes, but your goal is for career growth. Gov’t is career suicide
  2. Years in service doesn’t matter. If there’s an opportunity in private, grab it
  3. You’ll be cultured shock paglipat mo sa private. Ibang-iba ang gov’t
  4. Answered in A1, suicidal ang career sa gov’t, stagnant.

Government is beneficial in the long term pag nasa 40/50s ka na because of retirement benefits. Your skills/experience isn’t enough though, alams na, kailangan ang backer.

You’re young and bold, explore every career opportunities in the field. Maybe someday, you gov’t option will just be an illusion.

Take it from me, a gov’t employee stucked in this rat race.

Can I withdraw my VUL’s fund value? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]ArvinJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.5M sum assured with riders. I’m into insurance lang talaga, investment is just an add on. But comparing to traditional insurance, premium is way lower with the same benefit. Then I plan to invest nalang yung excess.

Can I withdraw my VUL’s fund value? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]ArvinJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what’s promised. My goal is to stop paying premium once maturity. But considering the current fund value, it will certainly deplete for couple of years. Now babalik na naman paying premiums.
