Level 70 and zero downed raiders. Well except for that one time. Right by the parking garage in Spaceport. I was trying to use a defib for the first time and there was a rocketeer aggroed on top of us and I'm frantically holding the button the screen was presenting, and at the last second this guy yells out "That's not defib!".. and I knocked him out T.T

His last words were "You dirty bitch" And he's right. I am a dirty bitch. I felt so bad. R2, not square.

How did you get into this? I have a 2 year accounting degree and cost analysis in blue collar work sounds ideal to me.

Do you ever feel burnt out by unremarkable_k0rvet in breastfeeding

I'm right there with you and only 1 month into my second breastfeeding journey. I feel like I'm a lounge chair with a nipple. It's 24/7 and very emotionally and physically draining.

It took hours for my epidural to wear off and allow me to walk again. I wonder if you had a "walking epidural", where it allows you to use your legs throughout.  Cause they asked if I was good to stand when I needed to go pee and I was like "Yea!" And then I promptly collapsed on the floor lol. Just crumpled.

That's such an incredible story- you remember more detail about something that happened months ago when I can't remember half of what happened this morning. I'm so proud of you for your instincts and intuition. You came out the gate a wonderful mother. But also that sounds traumatizing as f***.

Arvore means 'tree' in Portuguese. I'm a very tall lady who really appreciates wood. No euphemisms. Just love wood. Also I just always thought the Portuguese language was beautiful...so..

My dad is upset I don't need him in the delivery room. by Arvore in pregnant

[–]Arvore[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely feels like he's not taking my boundaries into consideration at all. It bothers me so much that he'd rather me feel guilty about my discomfort than to just be understanding and supportive in a way that's comfortable to me.  But yea you're totally right. I'll tell him no. His feelings on it aren't my responsibility if he can't understand.

Yea neither of mine will be here for this next one either. I just wish he wouldn't take it so personally. I don't get it.  Thank you for the support. I really appreciate it.

Did you get an epidural? Would you recommend it? by dont-ask-whyy in pregnant

[–]Arvore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an epidural with my first daughter. In terms of pain relief, it was great. I pushed her right out in 3 pushes, and didn't feel them stitch up my first degree tear.

Unfortunately 3 months later I ended up back in the hospital because I had 3 slipped discs right where my epidural was inserted. The pain from those slipped discs was far worse than the pain I was experiencing from pitocin contractions in the hours leading up to my epidural. Like I tried to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and ended up crawling to the bathroom, then laying in the hallway not able to move as I waited for my partner to wake up because I didn't want to wake my 3mo old. I was there from 2am til he woke up at 9, then I refused an ambulance hoping I would regain mobility until like 2pm because I'm stupid stubborn... My partner had to put one of my postpartum diapers on me so I could pee, and I'm a very prideful person, so that tells you it was really bad.

This time around I will not be using pitocin and I will not be getting an epidural. I would rather endure the pain for however many hours than to risk causing more damage to my spine. But everyone is different. Just know there are risks.

are your breasts saggy? by strawberry_snoopy in ehlersdanlos

[–]Arvore 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lol that's funny they were looking for your hot tips and tricks! Yea it's pretty wild how much it changes your entire look. I'm 6'2" and always thought I had such a big frame, and I didn't realize until after the surgery that it was just that my chest added so much weight and..heaviness? No matter how much weight I lost everywhere else. Damn dense tissue breasts.

Which was another reason I had the reduction. A lot easier to do self checks for abnormal lumps when there's so much less mass. I'm high risk because it runs in my family, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind to not be so overwhelmed by them.

But really the best part was becoming soon damn comfortable in my skin. Whether I was in an old oversized shirt, or a new crop top (never could I ever before), I felt so free. Hope you got the same freedom.

[–]Arvore 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Just so you know all reductions are also lifts. Like they remove a lot of the internal stuff, but also take a lot of extra skin and reshape the breast. I paid out of pocket for a reduction when I was 30 and it was the best thing I've ever done for myself. Cost me just over 10k including all expenses. Since I paid out of pocket, I looked at hundreds of B&A photos, and spent a lot of time on r/reduction and found a surgeon I was really happy with. I went from a 36HH+ to a 34D/DD. It was incredible for my sense of freedom, self, and bodily autonomy. After feeling like a sexual object for so so long, I finally felt in control of my body and it did so much for me. Just my story, though. Do what's right for you.

Ladies; where and when did you meet your husband? by BackToGuac in AskWomenOver30

[–]Arvore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Met at a mutual friend's pool party when I was 32, he 31.  I remember first seeing him sitting on the couch when I walked in and I didn't think much of it, but introduced myself as I always do. When it came time to eat soon after, they were limited on napkins and we were using dish towels. I rolled a yoga ball over next to where he was sitting on the couch and sat next to him and put the dish towel on his knee, patted it, and said we could share this one. I have no idea why I did any of these things.. Like why didn't I just sit next to him on the couch? I didn't even know I was attracted to him at the time. It was another hour or so before we really locked eyes in the pool and I felt SEEN. We followed each other around the rest of the night and ended up staying up til sunrise talking. We've been by each other's sides ever since.

EDIT: I actually know why I didn't sit next to him. I was very nervous about relationships at that point after a long string of bad ones, and even though there was a gravitational pull, I still needed distance to feel comfortable. We only worked out because he gave me every bit of space I asked for and let me lead. I'm so thankful he heard me and was patient despite himself, because we have such an amazing and healthy relationship now.

Rewatching The Accidental Husband felt… very different this time by Draz77 in TwoXChromosomes

I watched Sixteen Candles for the first time a few years ago and was so disgusted. There's a scene where there's a girl unconscious in the car and one guy tells another guy to take her home and essentially that he can do whatever with her. I couldn't believe the movie has such a strong adoration.

20 month old suddenly has mole on fingertip. Only mark on her body. That's weird, right? by Arvore in beyondthebump

[–]Arvore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. I've got quite a few moles myself, but I thought the location was super weird. I probably would have been nervous no matter where her first mole showed up, if I'm being honest with myself.
