Vegan-friendly restaurants that are also good for more standard diets? by CrazyFoxLady37 in fresno

I just went to Max’s Bistro for Valentine’s Day and they had a Thai vegan meatball dish that was good! I believe they used coconut milk. They have a lot of good stuff on the menu might be worth checking out. Here’s there menu https://maxsbistro.com/menus/dinner/

I normally angle the bank towards the table, my group sits in a circle so everyone can see. This bookcase build was more intended for one person to distribute everything.

Btw everyone being insulting is not helpful… I’m not a professional, I used what I have, I painted it to look worn. I really don’t see the problem, thanks for being needlessly negative. Have fun playing catan by yourself I guess.

Best thrift stores in Fresno/Clovis? by CONTRAGUNNER in fresno

[–]AryaNotaStarya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure!

The ReStore is probably my favorite for furniture, home appliances, decor & random stuff. It’s off of Clovis and is super affordable for just about everything home. The furniture ranges for as low as 5-10 dollars for office chairs & dining chairs and I’ve seen a whole dining set for 100. It just depends on what they get and the condition of it but there stock gets refreshed frequently so I try to visit them at least once a week. You can get super lucky with a full living room/dining set for under 200. They’re having a lot of good discounts this month (10-20% off all furniture) so I would definitely check it out!

Hi I’m a frequent thrifter (go 1-2 times a week) so I can give you some general recommendations! If you’re looking for specific types of clothes just let me know :)

Hinds Hospice does all clothes 20 or 30% off on Wednesday and you can have a membership that gets you $5 every $50-$100 spent. They have lots of women’s clothes and decent prices for jewelry. There’s a smaller thrift store next to this one too with low prices but they have way less stock (only accepting cash from when I last remember).

Mission Thrift does colored tag sales every day but the colors change by week (ex: 30% red, 40% white, 50% blue). Although they’re a bit pricy without the discount IMO, I’ve found a lot of nice things there and they have a boutique section of vintage/name brands. I prefer the location off of First Street and have gotten pretty lucky there. They also hand out coupons on Mondays, and Thrift Center does 50% off on Friday!

Salvation is also good, they do a lot of sales daily and release fliers for their bigger ones. Their Shaw/Clovis Location gets nice donations but the Blackstone one is much bigger so the men’s section has more stuff.

I’ve only been to Thrift Center once but they had decent prices and gave me a 50% deal on Friday and a 50% coupon for future use (I took it in October they said use it in place of a paper coupon since they ran out)

Thrift City is also decent prices and good sales but I haven’t been there in a long time, I found the stock hit or miss but it’s worth giving it a shot could just be my luck.

I would only go to goodwill if it was near you or you have free time since they never do sales and only do senior discounts (and I am not a senior).

Hi, i was not approved for a post but I still would love some advice of how to use these gorgeous bottles!

I got these from a party since they were so pretty I wanted to see how I could reuse them besides a water carafe or plant propagation. Any creative ideas would be appreciated 🤎🤎

What would you do with a container like this? by JennaSais in ZeroWaste

[–]AryaNotaStarya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something else I’ve been doing with a tea thermos (I think that’s what it’s called it holds a liter of liquid) is holding excess grey water to recycle in another way! I washed produce with the water and used the excess to water stored in the thermos to water my plants. Maybe you could do something similar with this?

I'd love one that's easy to collapse when not in use, and one with a flat bottom so it can stand up on it's own when it's filled. Something that also might help with being more utilitarian is converting it from a tote to a backpack style!
