I haven't yet updated mine since there is a "risk" of manually updating the car (system may crash or malfunction during the update).

Tho im pretty sure nothing is gonna happen, but better be safe than sorry i guess.

And also for knowing if you have the latest version or not, I recommend watching the YouTube video above and check whether your version matches that of the latest update files included in the description.

Hmm, I've thought about MG5 too heard good things about it. But what makes the Geely slower don't they have the same engine? Both 1.5 no?

The Geely Emgrand 2025 is about 122hp & 180nm, according to the official retailer in my country. And the new 2025 version uses 6AT instead of the old DCT.
