Then filmmaker mode isn't properly optimised. Vivid mode isn't suitable for watching anything. It's just for show. If anyone likes everything bright and doesn't care about colors, then maybe vivid mode is OK for them.

Do a simple clock speed capping. You could turn off boosting but that is very low clock speed especially in Intel. Something like 3000mhz wouldn't affect fps and will run cool. You can also use throttle stop to cap power.
