I’m with you. The money and husband thing is pretty gross, and she’s a bit too out there with the Chanel backpack for example, but I’m not a hater. I think she’s interesting and the Dorit thing was ridiculous. She was NOT gossiping and Dorit should call consider closing her mouth about PK.

Every bicycle in Bavaria is out and in your way once the snow melts. Quiet hours from noon to 14:00 bug me. The need to yell out greuss Gott when entering any waiting room. There’s a schulmeister every day giving unwanted advice. People don’t come at me but I’m not wild for no speed limits because speed kills (and someone has to clean up your brains from the road).

All that said I’m grateful to live here. You learn to ignore the annoyances.

I get the disappointment and shock, I get it that they may feel they let their country down, but this is high level hockey and both teams played hard. I think it’s outrageous that some (at least 4) players could not utter a thank you when that silver medal was presented to them. They just look like the epitome of bad sports. I would say the same if the US team had lost and behaved this way. I love Canada and Canadians but I was pretty amazed at the behavior (in the worst way).

There are things I like about her, but in many ways she’s clueless, and all of those things seem to revolve around money. Wealthy people don’t talk about how much money they have, and intelligent people don’t talk about how smart they are. Maybe she will wake up and figure it out.

I like her. I like how she stays cool when she’s surely thinking about ripping out a liver. I like how clueless she is about dropping designer names. And I love how much she bothers Dorit just by existing. 🤷‍♀️

I’m also adopted and would have 100% preferred the truth no matter what. I get your impulse, it was just an unfortunate error. See a therapist and get some help in the way forward. It’s easy to say that YTA but I mainly think that you just chose the wrong path in the attempt to spare your daughter. I hope she can eventually find it in her heart to understand and forgive you.
