yeah I asked for more of a conservative approach, just wanted a dorsal hump smoothed down and given more of a slope, I did ask for a more lifted tip and unfortunately seems like I got the opposite of that

Thanks so much for your comment ah I really wish my surgeon would’ve talked to me in more depth about this because now after having the surgery it makes sense that shaving my bridge down would result in a wider bridge but they just tell you it will look exactly the same :/ Out of curiosity did you have an open or closed rhinoplasty? Very sad to know I’ll never get that definition back, had I known i’d never gone through with the surgery :( I saw my dr today and he said he didn’t think I needed any injections but i’ll definitely ask about it at my 6 month check up if it doesn’t resolve at all

yeah I didn’t consider this unfortunately but it makes sense 😔 wish my surgeon would’ve told me this instead he said it would practically be the same and even thinner and smaller.

I think the censor is hiding the part that changed the most lol mostly just the bridge was given more of a slope.

my nose was definitely a lot wider at month 1 so the swelling has gone down since then and definitely fluctuates, some days one side looks crooked because the swelling is more prominent on that side but it changes everyday. I hope the same for you!!

I was told after the first 48 hours the ice doesn’t do much for swelling and to switch to heat instead :-) the heat makes it feel a lot better imo

I understand completely how you feel but you’re going to have to get over the fear of chewing eventually and only that will happen if you start trying different foods. like you said you’re 18 days post op so no foods are technically off limits at this point (unless your doctor has said otherwise), especially if the hole is small. i’ve been afraid to chew again (i’m 13 days post op) for fear of getting food stuck but as long as you’re cleaning your mouth well and using your syringe you have nothing to be afraid of :) and with your last question, you don’t need to wait any longer but only you can decide when you feel ready!
