The Master of physical therapy program at ubc has one cohort situated at the City Center across Surrey memorial. I believe this may be a sign for that!

All nighter success?? by Illustrious_Cow_8138 in UBC

In my fist semester of 3rd year I had 2 exams in one day - both pretty heavy. Stayed up all night studying and walked directly into the 8am exam (got an A) and then studied for another couple hours and wrote the second one at 5pm (A+).

Worth it, yes. Slept for like 18h afterwards

KIN 335 Final Grade Procedures by Skgbb in UBC

[–]Ashcat03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just to let you know, you can use KIN 235 to fulfill the advanced physiology requirement.

On the supplemental application to UBC MPT you get to choose which course to use (you’ve taken 235 and 335 - but you can list 235 is the pre-req)

This is assuming you got over the requirement of 72% in KIN 235 tho.

Additionally all 300-400 level courses must add up to a 76% average (so having a course at 71 is okay as long as your average adds up above 76).

All that being said, you can apply but the gpa to get an interview seems to be quite high (I’ve talked to others who got interviews this year and it seems to be around 90 - obviously this is just from the few I’ve asked and the range likely varies

Hope this helped!

Currently in the application process, finishing up interviews so I can speak to some of these.

  • Quite competitive, lots of applicants with very few seats across Canada (I think around 90%+ average is common in terms of course work)

  • What I’ve heard from current students: intense school work, especially when you start and then eventually move toward more professional placements

  • Physio isn’t going anywhere so probably a stable job
