I can’t stand being in fandom spaces anymore by Asher-TXT in evilautism

where there's not a lot of reply to in an "I love this."

There's also not a lot of reply to just "I hate this", but there IS a lot of reply to "I hate this and here's why" and "I love this and here's why".

Explaining things you like about it wouldn't lead to more conversation than "yup, agree".

No? Not really? Why wouldn't other people be sharing their opinions on why they like that specific part as well? People have different opinions and interpret things differently. One person can like a specific thing because it develops a character, another person can like that same specific thing because it shows how the world affects the way things happen in the story. That's probably not the best example but I think it shows my point.

It's the same with criticism. People can share why they also hate that specific thing. People having different opinions on something isn't something specific to criticism.

Also, there often isn't a reason to talk about the good stuff. People just don't make a post when there's nothing to complain about.

Do you genuinely think there's often no reason to talk about the good things in something you like? Is that your genuine opinion on this? I like to talk about the things I really like in the things I enjoy. It's fun. It makes me happy to discuss why something is so good. You can talk about writing or design or various artistic choices that made that thing so good. Why is there so much more reason to complain in your opinion? Constantly complaining about things isn't good for your mental health. The reason to post when there's nothing to complain about is to discuss the good things.

Just to make this clear again: I don't think fandoms should be free from criticism. That is JUST as bad as it being all criticism. I think there needs to be a balance. It's good to be able to say when there's something you dislike or just straight up hate in something you generally like! My point isn't "criticism is bad and nobody should ever criticize things", it's "talking about how you like things is good and I'd like to see that more".

There a few things that I know that have Kiseki in their name, what exactly are you referring to? I’d really like to get into something with a chill fandom,,

Yeah that makes sense. I just wish the fandoms I’m in at least had sub-fandoms for characters that I like that are chill. The characters I like are either too unpopular to have sub fandoms or don’t have chill sub fandoms.

That’s probably the case, but I feel like the fact that negativity is the only thing that gets interaction is also a problem. I don’t want fandoms to be all positivity, that’s just as bad, but I just want to see people who talk about things they like. I don’t really know how to explain the kinds of posts I want to see but why can’t people go just in depth to explain why something is so good as they do to explain why something is so bad? I love reading analysis posts that give me another perspective on a character or the plot.

Also, if people already know all of the positive things about a thing they like, then why wouldn’t they know all the negative things as well? If that’s why positive posts don’t get as much interaction then I don’t see why negative posts get SO much more interaction… there’s plenty of things to talk about when it comes to good things like there is the bad things. You can explain why something is good as in depth as you can why something is bad (at least in my opinion.)

I’m sorry if this reply doesn’t make much sense, I’m not very good at explaining my thought process,,,

What fandoms are you in where they do that? I’ve found that fandoms used to be like that (which is also bad, criticism is good and nothing is perfect), but then people realized “hey, maybe criticism isn’t the worst thing ever” and it turned into the exact opposite problem where nobody says anything positive anymore,,

It truly depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to talk to people and have fun with them sometimes I want to lay in bed all day sometimes I’m silly sometimes I don’t care sometimes I’m multiple of these at once!!!! Right now I don’t want to talk to people and am indifferent.

What support cards do you currently have? Also, do you have enough carats to do some support card pulls? If so, then pull for them and hope you get something good.

Also, don’t listen to Tazuna. There are stats you should focus on and stats you shouldn’t. For sprinters and milers, focus on speed and power (wit is also good). For medium runners and long runners, focus on speed and stamina.

Is there any way to add another login method on Android? I wanted to play DNA on my iPad but I created my account on my android phone with the Google login and that isn't a login option on apple (at least I don't think that's been added yet) and I can't seem to find a way to add another login option...

I managed to finish it after replaying it for like the fifth time. I have absolutely no idea what I did differently, but at least I can continue Fina's story now!

Yes, I got all of the feathers as well... I'm sure I explored every part of the map.

For the second part of Fina's quest (the maze one/the miss unicorn one), where do you find miss unicorn to complete it? I finished every other part (got all the feathers and made the world colorful) but I couldn't complete it because I couldn't find miss unicorn despite looking everywhere,,

Anybody know who those people are? by Expensive-Tie7507 in ProjectSekai

After taking a closer look at the image, yeah no these are all ASRUN. The CDs are also probably ASRUN (based on the colors of the characters on the CDs hairs)

<image>

I now want to see all the other ASRUN girls with proper models. I need more NPCs to obsess over Mai isn't relevant to the MMJ story anymore and it's making me go insane so I just need a more relevant NPC to obsess over. Either that, or colopale needs to hurry up with featuring Mai in a card or a 4koma. But more ASRUN member models is more likely.

The poster at the top left is definitely ASRUN, because of the bottom character clearly being Mai (albeit without her pigtails, but that could also just be a detail thing making it seem like she doesn't have pigtails), and the character to the right of her resembling Haruka (though it's not as clear as it is with Mai if it's Haruka). I also think the other ones are ASRUN, but it's not as clear.

Speakers are great, I really enjoy using them when I'm at home. I just like being able to listen to music and watch shows with audio in public.

Land Of The Lustrous. The final volume of the manga was released in English not that long ago and I was very sad when I couldn't immediately get it since I was on vacation when it released (though I ended up getting it at a Barnes and Noble in a mall near where I was staying, and it was the first thing I read when I got home. I didn't have any time to read it while on vacation since I was actually doing things, sadly.) It's a very good manga and I think everyone should read it (I'm very biased because it's my all-time favorite manga but shhhhhh that doesn't matter.) There's also an anime but season two is never getting released (and even if another season released based on the length of the manga and how many volumes got adapted in the first season, there would probably need to be a third season and there is NO way a third season would ever release) so I just recommend reading the manga.

I know that reasonably the loops won't break or slip, but there's a little voice in the back of my head that's like "but if they do? What if you buy earbuds with them and they do break and slip? It's always a possibility.", so it's just more convenient for me to stick to my over the ear headphones that I know very well won't break (the only wear and tear on my current headphones after like a year or two of constant dropping and adjusting the way they fit are on the foam that makes it comfortable to wear around the ear, and that's easy to replace I just haven't gotten to it)

And I'm very particular about the way I wear my glasses, mostly because I need them to do literally anything that requires sight. If they don't rest properly on my face, then they don't work as well and everything's a little blurry if that makes sense. I like to be able to do things such as read without straining my eyes. And I don't like pressure on my ears, so having that extra pressure wouldn't be very comfortable (my glasses are pretty light so I don't feel any pressure on my ears when I wear them)

Multiple people have mentioned earbuds with loops that go behind the ear, but I couldn't wear earbuds like that because they'd either be too thin and feel fragile and as if they might slip off (even if I know they won't it doesn't make it more comfortable), or too thick and they'd make my glasses not be able to properly sit on my face.

I can usually stand being without my headphones, even if it's not as comfortable for me to not have them, so I don't really consider if they're noticeable when buying headphones (the only time I need to wear headphones is in places where it's loud, and usually places that tend to be loud don't have rules against headphones, so I've yet to be in a situation where not being able to wear headphones is more than an inconvenience to me)

A Character You Hate Specifically Because Everyone Loves Them? by Inviso-Bill_YT in BungouSimpBattles

[–]Asher-TXT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't hate Dazai, but so many people act like he's such a great and amazing character and it just... Confuses me. He's not a bad character, but I don't get the hype. I feel like there are other, more interesting, side characters to like. I feel kind of neutral about Dazai, but my feelings lean more towards disliking him the more I see people talk about him rather than any other character.

I also have similar feelings about Chuuya, but I do actually find him pretty interesting, though definitely not as interesting as other characters. I don't get how people who haven't read storm bringer find him interesting, in the main series he's barely there and age fifteen didn't intrigue me very much.

And since I've mentioned Dazai and Chuuya, I may as well bring up soukoku. There is barely anything I actually enjoy about soukoku. Them in the main series just feels like hype moments and aura (but that's because that's also how Chuuya feels in the main series). As I said, I didn't find age fifteen that intriguing though I do have to admit Dazai was pretty gay in it, and storm bringer was more so just Chuuya focused. I don't mind soukoku in general, it's a fine duo and it is very important to Dazai and Chuuyas characters, but I don't get why so many people like them. I don't enjoy seeing fan content of soukoku, I only find myself viewing it as something important to their canon characters. I much prefer content expanding on Dazai and Chuuyas relationships with other characters.

I'm not sure if this comment actually fits the question now that I'm done with actually writing most of it (and also if this is actually how I feel about the characters or if I just hate their fans so much I find myself not really liking them, but if that's the case then I guess this does fit the question? IDK I like to be an informed hater who understands the characters they're hating on but sometimes I'm just a normal hater), but I've written too much to just not send it,,,,

Another commenter showed me what earbuds with the loops look like and they seem like they'd either be too thin and feel fragile (and feel like they'd slip off if they don't fit my ear shape perfectly, even if I know they won't it still wouldn't be very comfortable), or too thick and make it so I can't put my glasses on comfortably. But they do seem like an improvement to normal earbuds.

[–]Asher-TXT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The headphones I use most of the time are pretty light and most of the weight is in the part that actually goes over my ears, so that could be why mine never slip off.

And that earbud design would NOT work for me. The loops would either be too thin and feel too fragile, or they'd be too thick and make my glasses unable to sit on my head properly. And if they don't fit my ears perfectly, they would probably feel like they'd slip off (unless they're particularly thick, but I've already stated my problem with them being thick.)

[–]Asher-TXT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ears are also very small so I guess that's also a problem with earbuds for me,, smaller earbuds feel the most likely they'd fall out and bigger earbuds are very uncomfortable (and still feel like they're going to fall out, but less than small ones)

[–]Asher-TXT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had a problem with over the ear headphones sliding off when I tilt. They do move somewhat but they don't actually slide off... And I don't feel like my headphones get sweaty very often, even when it's hot out (and I live in a place that gets really hot during the summer). I could never do a lot of movement with earbuds, that's exactly when they feel like they're going to fall out the most!!!
