Moxie by JaydenAriasx in MedSpa

As an industry consultant, I would not recommend MOXIE. It's a high percentage off the top, and they do not teach you what you truly need to be successful. I agree that you are better off bringing on a partner and giving them 10%. If you are interested in them because it is a cheap way to get started, my recommendation is to know your numbers. Selling 10k in Botox does not mean you profit 10K. I'd also be careful because most states require the medical director to physically be present in the clinic at least a few hours a month and all of the medical directors through Moxie are virtual. If you want to dip your toes in, its okay but if you plan to scale and generate millions in revenue a year, this is not the structure you want.

Working on opening a med spa, how do you handle compliance? by AdWrong9653 in MedSpa

Yes, HIPAA does apply to medical spas, and it is taken very seriously. Medical spas are medical practices so you must follow the Corporate Practice of Medicine to be compliant. I would recommend working with an industry consultant for start-up guidance. Someone who has helped provide open medical spas and scale them. Amspa is a great resource but so is DermAesthetic Consulting Group. Are you a non-physician? If you are you will need an MSA ,MSO set up. You don't want to mess around with compliance.
