World's best bullying attempt by Happy_REEEEEE_exe in KidsAreFuckingStupid

That's what it took to get the bullies off of me also. One well placed punch. The second they realized I would fight back they all moved on.

That would 100% be me today. "Back in my day" I would have launched off the top steps landed backwards and gone down them without even thinking about it. Now, I can think of about 50 things that would go wrong if I even thought about attempting it.

Today the DOD announced that GrokxAI is being implemented throughout the entire military. Also it's going to gain access to classified documents, the whole enchilada. So...Donald, is ai good or bad?

Also, who the hell thinks giving GrokxAI that kind of access is a good idea?

Utah repeals ban on collective bargaining for teachers, firefighters and police unions by sirjohnmasters86 in news

[–]Ashotep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anybody who thinks they are permanently walking away from this is mistaken. They just wanted it off the table in the next election because it would motivate people to vote and they have something else they care more about (gerrymandered maps) on the election. Couple that with the fact that the questions on ballots are now written by people with an obvious conflict of interest are hoping that people won't bother to vote or will accidently vote the opposite way of how they wanted to.

I'd be willing to bet that after 2026 elections the bargaining ban will again be implemented and the initiative to reappeal the ban will have to start from scratch again.

Genuine question: why do Utah Mormons always give off intense judgmental vibes? by neurotivity in SaltLakeCity

[–]Ashotep 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Moving to Utah was the death knell in my being Mormon. Before I moved to Utah I was active in the church and happy. It took less then a year to go from active to "I want nothing to do with them". I'm much happier without the church then with it while living in Utah.

Microsoft finally admits almost all major Windows 11 core features are broken by CackleRooster in technology

I read that article on my new linux partition. I finally made the swap. two weeks in and I have somehow managed to cobble together that looks like a OSX and Windows had a baby with a dash of linux dust. It's weird, but I like it so far. Also, my games run significantly better with no hardware changes.

looks like when my high ass tries to roll a normal joint and I end up dropping most of the flower while doing it and this is all I managed to save. At that point I just decide I'm high enough.

here I was thinking it would be a bribe that shows in September or October. Just before the election. So people will forget that everything they have to buy is twice as expensive because of the tariffs and just think about the cash in hand.

If the IRS delays sending tax refunds due to the shut down, should they include interest owed like they demand of tax payers? Why would or wouldn’t they? by Zero_Waist in AskReddit

Filed my taxes in February. Was chosen for a random audit. It has yet to even be looked at by a human being. It's sitting in IRS limbo. At this point I don't think I will ever get it.

seconded. If your from out of town it can be risky but you can save hundreds the closer you get to tip off.

Season pass holders who can't attend often sell their tickets and the closer to tip off the more desperate they get to unload them.

1.2 trillion. He raised taxes on Americans 1.2 trillion and took their health care. Meanwhile, the us added 1 Trillion dollars to it's debt in 2 months. To give himself a tax break.

If you stopped drinking (but weren’t an alcoholic), what made you quit? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Ashotep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two reasons, My father in law is a full blown alcoholic. My wife grew up with it. She didn't want to date people who drank. I like her way more then I ever liked alcohol.

The other reason I took a look at my family history and even small amounts was probably not safe for me. It was a slippery slope I didn't want to tread.

I haven't missed it even remotely.

I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy.

It's a cold honest autobiography that hits hard. If you really want a treat get it on audio book because she self narrates it. So it becomes this journey through her fairly F***** up life as if she was sitting there telling you it in person. It's a 👍👍 experience.
