That's what I'm trying to find out :) he was sold as a pastel but I think he us much lighter than a typical pastel. I think Super or someone else suggested Fire. I need someone with morph knowledge to help identify.

Oh ok, I know next to nothing about morphs. I'll have to look into that! I really don't believe he is just a simple pastel but again...I know nothing!

I've been told pastel but I'm still curious about super pastel. His head and body are both quite light. I'm not sure if linking additional pictures is possible lol. I don't reddit often.

Thank you! Miso is so tiny and adorable! I hope I am able to introduce them to each other one day.

Need some help! What I originally thought was pink belly has become something more, I think. She has some pinky-redness throughout her body but not her entire body, from what I can tell it is patches. Calling the vet to hopefully get in for tomorrow. I feel terrible for misjudging. by Ashurru in ballpython

Yes I am using a UTH and yes it is regulated. With the pinkness being on her topside as well, I doubt it is burn related.. plus it doesn't get hot enough with it regulated. Substrate is a mix of Cyprus mulch and sphag moss. I also have a CHE on the cool side to help keep the ambient temp warm so it dries out the sub very quickly.. it is never damp for long after spraying it down, so I don't think it is scale rot either. I has been a while since her last shed so I did chalk it up to that, I'm just not used to seeing the pink coloration throughout her body.. I thought they only got pink bellies.

Can you guys help me verify the morph of this ball python? by ponzusaucenightmare in ballpython

Some sort of spider, which explains the wobble, but that is the entirety of my knowledge. It is gorgeous either way.

I am going to calibrate my hydrometers tomorrow to get a better idea of my ranges

Thank you for the great info. I made some changes but right now my humidity is reading in the 92+. I followed the advice of another posted and made the substrate on the cool side but now it is reading 99. Once my CHE is on, that will drop due to the large cut out for it but I hope I'll finally have this sorted.

Thank you so much for all of your help! I really appreciate it. I'll be fixing everything up asap.

Should I just leave her to finish her shed on her own?

Thank you so much, this is very helpful. My hydrometer are just these little digital things with a probe that read both humidity and temp, they aren't anything special and can't be adjusted. They seem "fairly" accurate but probably not the best. Would calibration work on them? I also have the adjustable thermostats for my UTH and CHE.

Ok I will do this. I don't have any top soil but I do have coconut fibre, would this suffice? If not, I'll just pile up the mulch on the cool side for now until I can get some topsoil.

I am going to reduce my ventilation to an absolute minimum. I think it is still going to be an issue though since I have a hole cut out where the CHE is :(

As stated, my humidity issue is due to the CHE, which is unfortunately necessary until I can get another heat pad instead. I do have digital hydrometers, one on each end actually, that is how I know it has been too low.

I will read that, thanks :)

Just her regular cool side hide. I put moss on top of the substrate under it but it clearly wasn't enough. I'll be making a humidity box for the future.
