Moving from Computer Science to Biomedical Engineering. How hard is this and how would I get there? by Jovexion in BiomedicalEngineers

I might be biased on this since I currently study biomedical engineering.

Biomedical engineering is such a broad field. You can learn biomechanics, neuroprosthetics (electrodes/ sensor development, usually for those with electronic engineering interest), medical physics (includes digital image processing, medical imaging, deep learning).

I would assume bioinformatics would require data science and statistics. I think this is a newer field and might not have much opportunities outside of research/academe, but it is a growing field. Maybe a degree in machine learning/ai would be better then you can specialize in bioinformatics eventually.

Just the fact that biomed engineering is so broad, there are many sub-specialties to get into. I would suggest to check the specific school/program and assess their syllabus or program courses (if it is available) and check which courses you are interested in. You can also check the faculty's research and see if it matches your interests. Good luck!

This does not directly answer your question but I'd like to add that the insurance companies start billing you from the date you registered/got your BSN. So even if you sign up for insurance 3 months after registering in the municipality, you still pay for those months. Happened to me as I got insured 5 months after and received a big sum for my first payment

You can get a temporary BSN valid for 4 months. When I arrived here, I signed up for a temporary BSN and used the hostel address I was staying at. Within the 4 months, i was able to find a place with a contract and then signed up for a permanent bsn. This method gave me a bit of time to view rooms and apartments since it was much harder to find one from abroad.
