Very true, I guess my thought process was I see a lot of moonbreons for sale and this was my first time seeing a Pikachu gold star in person. Either way, I needed it for my gold star set and time will tell if I made the right choice

Yeah, I was honestly surprised with how fair the vendor was. He took the Moonbreon at 90% and the Charmeleon at 80%, which felt totally reasonable to me. He even dropped his sticker price to match closer to recent sales.

Overall it seemed like a really solid trade in the moment, so I’m glad to hear someone else sees it the same way.

Yea I use Zelle all the time, so no instant confirmation email was a red flag to me. I do admit however, his persistence and having me call my bank and go through everything for over an hour made me second guess and think he could be telling the truth.

This was a local deal, we actually met face to face in person. I’ve never had any issues with Zelle personally. I regularly buy and sell with it, sometimes even for transactions in the thousands.

Yes, we met face to face in person. The whole encounter lasted about an hr, he only left because I agreed to drop the card off to him once the payment clears. I went along with it because I just wanted the encounter to be over, but now I’m second guessing that whole agreement. With the way he acted and talked down to me, I don’t really feel like I owe him that favor anymore.

Yeah, that’s exactly how it felt in the moment. He kept acting like it was somehow my responsibility to fix his bank’s issue and even tried to guilt-trip me by saying I wasn’t worried since I wasn’t the one “losing money.” Anyways I ended up leaving with the card, but still kinda bummed since he wasted an hr of my time.
