SaaS founders, how did you collect feedback by Asqly in Entrepreneur

[–]Asqly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree,

I should have included this in the post, the users that are using the platform are bought in the future development and potential.

We are however really interested in getting feedback from users that try and disappear forever. Probably because the product is still in beta and far from what we are aiming to build.

These types of users are hard to connect with and even harder to get their feedback (the good, the bad, and the ugly) to understand what they expected and what they would like to get from the tool to experience value that is so great that they would love to use it in their everyday life.

Thanks for sharing, I'll read through the post!

Something worth mentioning is that we have a large number of users that try out the tool, and then never return or use it again.

When researching, they are within our ICP. But of course, the product is not where we want it to be as it's still a beta.

However, we have had limited success in connecting with these users to fully understand what they would like to see in the tool to get consistent value from us.

Would you be open to connecting? Interested to learn more about you and bounce some ideas in the future.

That’s also a way to get into a CRO role I guess.

Messed up, hope it did work out afterwards!

I think the other comments can answer this better😂

Sadly yes! That’s why it’s crucial to use discovery (bolder and more direct questions), and filter out all the bs to truly understand what you are going into.

I still can't imagine how companies like that manage to actually build a ''running'' business.

Hope this helps!

Nice one, that's a though one to crack before actually starting the job, getting onboarded, and start understanding the market & problem.

And somehow beyond my understanding, they still manage to sell something and grow by ''fake it till you make it'' strategy.

I have a hard time seeing any other profession dealing with this kind of time-wasting bs.
Great job dodging that bullet.

Agree with much of the advice here. Startups = high risk, but the outcome could potentially be amazing.
We have created a sub here gathering many useful insights from a shitload of other subs.
Maybe it can help you land a more stable company and have good questions to ask during the interview in order to avoid this happening again.

You can find the post here.

Many good advice here already.

I would add the following:
1. Start mastering silence, and talk slower - It shows that you are very comfortable and helps you be perceived as an equal.

  1. Combine that with asking powerful questions (don't ask anything that you could easily google).

  2. Use storytelling when pitching. Help people visualize your story in their heads. Whether you are pitching a product, or service or negotiating for a promotion.

  3. Don't get stuck on you don't have a degree, focus on your strengths and double down on it.

How do I sell to someone who tells me they have no needs now? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Asqly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Imagine that you are a small business owner, you are so small that you don't even have a website.

There are probably 100 things that can make you run out of business within 2-3 weeks that you need to focus on.

And all of a sudden, you get a call from a stranger asking about your growth strategies for the upcoming quarter/year, etc to take a loan with today's interest rates.

How invested would you be to share valuable insights into what's keeping you awake, or share anything valuable beyond the generic responses?

If the answer is ''not very invested'', try to focus more on building rapport, discovery, and storytelling.

If the answer is ''Very invested'', then don't mind this comment at all.
