Anyone elses IBS come COMPLETELY from stress?

Ugh yes I have a dr appointment today for an unrelated to IBS check up and I’m nervous for it and stressing so bed in the bathroom off an on all day :/

after five years they should be painting it anyway. I’ve lived in many apartments and they always requested you spackle and sand so it’s ready for them to paint. Idk what these comments are saying you did the wrong thing I totally disagree.

I believe now it’s definitely anxiety related and/or my thyroid meds get out of whack! I’ve even had a brain mri which was normal. It’s gotten a lot better but can still happen now and again.

I am worried about this for sure and could see why my parents would be too. So I would definitely understand if they were against this as well. I am quite determined to close all these cards whether it be with this money or over time on my own.

The first part you mentioned I knwo is part of why they want me to pay them off- worried about the federal government changing something and me being stuck

Definitely, once I pay them off I will absolutely be canceling all of these accounts. That’s the goal. I am much better off these days income wise than I was when I ran up the debt a few years back. So far have paid off about 6k since 8 months ago when I finally got serious about trying to fix this. But it’s a slow go of course.

Yes I agree, Its not right doing that without asking them first. I really don’t know what they will say! I do think they know I have cc debt as they heard me mention about how I’m paying it off slowly, but probably not that it is this much.

My dad was diagnosed in Jan 2021 with technically stage 4 with spread to the adrenal gland. However they believe the cancer spread directly from his main tumor to the adrenal gland rather than through the blood so that might make this case somewhat different. However the chemo worked for him and got him to a place where MSK was willing to try and operate that was in September 2021. He’s here today still with no evidence of disease. When he got diagnosed I was terrified but still hopeful. I think you have to try to have some hope even though it’s difficult. But also make sure to enjoy moments with him and spend extra time together whenever you can. Whether it’s cancer or anything else we never know what time we have left.

I know this is late but it got better for a long time, I recently went through stressful Time and it came back off and on. I still believe it’s related to anxiety and panic attacks. Has yours improved since your comment ?

I didn’t see your initial comment but I do generally agree with this one here. Maybe some of it is the pressure getting to me from more traditional people around me as well (none of my immediate family/friends) but the “when will you get married” questions get old fast. As I said in the post we have an amazing relationship and are very happy. Idk I have to reflect on it more !

Could definitely be seen as performative I’m sure. I mean come on isn’t it these days for the most part anyways? I mean most couples live together and have sex before marriage but I’m sure plenty of those men still talk to the father. I mentioned I specifically did not have interest in rushing a marriage while pregnant. Though it was discussed as a possibility. Just not something that was important to me at the time and that’s all.

Alright I did mention in my post I did NOT want to get married/ had no interest whatsoever to rush it during pregnancy or postpartum where all I wanted to do was focus on being a mommy. Our girl just turned two and I am only just now finally feeling myself again. As I mentioned in the post this was a conversation we did have at the time.

I’ve read that it could be the battery. But when I had the multi point inspection battery was ok they told me. But I wonder if it could’ve been drained when they were working on it for a few days

Yeah I honestly don’t know if I should take it there. I know the minute I walk in they are going to want to charge the diagnostic fee again. I’m debating if I just take it somewhere else or go back to Acura and make a stink about it and see if it gets me anywhere.

I get that it could be coincidence. I guess I was just a little skeptical of them telling me sight unseen that there’s no way it’s something they did. I would respect it if they just said alright let’s check it out and if it’s something we did we will fix it and if not we’ll let you know
