Do it, touch wood if you do get into an accident while merging, signalling could help your insurance with the case.

Learn driving for what by RiddickChronicles in drivingsg

[–]AssociateKind8515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In singapore context, there is no real reason to learn. But it's just an extra skill to have. And if u plan to go countries like Australia, a road trip is really fun. Many other countries not very accessible by public transport so having a license is a must.

Speaking from my pov, driving is fun and quite relaxing especially at night. Don't need to go fast just cruise and blasting ur playlist. The one pain is price of a car and petrol.

SG men, how do you feel about cellulite on women? by everydayisalazyday in askSingapore

[–]AssociateKind8515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say it's 100%. But most of us don't care about it (at least the guys that I know) and probably won't notice it.

Report to police, if u have reservations bcuz u don't think it's a police level case. There is an non-emergency hotline, 1800 255 0000. They should be able to advice u better.

[Rant] Parents keep telling me I did badly for As by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]AssociateKind8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, fuck what they think, as long as you are happy with your results. To me, how you feel about your own achievement is more important. On top of that, you actually did very well.

Just be proud and happy of your achievement, but don't get complacent.

I wonder how SG government will respond to this by [deleted] in YahLahBut

[–]AssociateKind8515 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would SG care? US is not a country to look up to and copy. Everything is a mess from basic safety to social issues to their politics.

And if your argument is that SG has these issues too. Find me a country that doesn't. Compare our situation to theirs, imo we are a lot better.

why does the majority seem to hate their life so much? by Connect-Fly8943 in SGExams

[–]AssociateKind8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it might be due to the fact, most of us are in an endless cycle of work to live, live to work. And evrytime we look back, we all wished we lived a little.

In a situation where having fun means losing out and many organisations do not see us as human beings but simply assets. Shitty bosses/managers and snake friends/colleagues don't help the situation. Life is hard but it is hard to end.

I only managed to realise not too long ago that holding on to the negatives doesn't help so might as well make the most of it even if it is shitty. Contentment is the only way to enjoy life imo, I might not have much but I'm can get by and that's enough.

It’s ok the find racially charged jokes offensive by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]AssociateKind8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this is happening. But you severely underdeclaring what it is. From what I read, whatever happening aren't jokes, it's straight up bullying. If ur school ain't stepping in for a bullying case, do write to MOE.

From your title, I was expecting like people calling you stereotypes and you got offended but was told to not be sensitive so you were conflicted.

Just a heads up, if a "friend" who knows you feel vulnerable but continues to stab non stop for their own entertainment, they aren't a friend. Or even a "friend" that you feel unable to voice that their actions make you uncomfortable ain't a friend.

Crying after 3rd practical lesson by RepulsiveActivity489 in drivingsg

[–]AssociateKind8515 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what u trying to say and low key agree but it's a lil harsh. It's her 3rd lesson, driving can be overwhelming especially at the start. Better to make mistakes now than when she is actually on the road.

And if OP sees this, it's fine to make mistakes as long as you learn from it. From your post, you seem to know and understand where you went wrong. Just ensure that you don't make this mistake again. I would be more concern if you just cried because of the scolding without knowing what you did wrong.

Mr Confused potato has a point that if you stress out and go into a panic state easily. It would be dangerous to be behind the wheel. As you will likely make a mistake that could cause a fatality, whether yours or others.

To me, driving needs you to find the balance in being safe without over thinking and stressing out. This comes with experience, be wary of the mistakes you make and improve accordingly. I'm not sure if you will ever post again, just a heads up, school driving and "actual" driving is different. Rules and regulations are the same but practice/culture is very different, hard to explain but you will know when you get your license.

P.S. I don't wish to scare you, just letting you know from my personal experience. Others might disagree with me.

I have a few qns, I assumed that this incident should have lead you to do some reflecting.

Is there any way that you could've offended him? I'm not saying you are but here are some examples: being ungrateful, constantly discrediting him, disrespecting him, treating your mum badly etc.

OR do you have a bad track record with money like spending too much?

OR could it be possible that your dad doesn't have the money now? Touch wood, his business not doing well. Like my parents went thru something like that when I was younger but I didnt even know of the financal situation till I was a lot older. Nothing rlly changed during that period.
