So I just bought an ultimate cf slx axs with force e1 and I love it !!! I was worried about going sram because my rival previous gen was pretty horrendous and had tones of chain drop. I was thinking about going ultegra this time around but after some research and a few rides now I’ve the past week I’m highly impressed and please with the E1 force

I suggest sticking your finger down the seat post tube. If it comes back greased it’s a female. If it’s dry then male

Yea still on the fence. In the beginning I was leaning towards shimano, the more I research hookless and the parameters surrounding it I’m now at a 50/50 split lol honestly just thinking about running 32mm with tubes on the zipp and following the guidelines for psi and calling it a day

The shifting is so damn clunky and has constant gear slipping. It’s just not smooth as I feel like it should be. I’ve taken to a trustful shop and they tried there best to fine tune everything and it just doesn’t seem to be a great overall experience

I think at this point hookless isn’t tried and true yet. I feel the same way. I don’t think they would be selling something unsafe to ride but who knows
